My belubbed sister Daisy @BrindleDaisy passed on to the Rainbow 🌈 Bridge last night right after sunset in Oklahoma City. Daisy taught me how to "dog". She also helped welcome mez wif Daddy when I was about to be given up to a rescue or shelter because my mama had 2 jobs and 2 kids who didn't want to take carez of mez back in 2019. I will miss her very much but then again I will be joining her sometime soon. We both have cancer, unfortunately for Daisy, her cancer was discovered too late to give palliative care. We found out Thursday and we lost her on Sunday. She was my hero and big sis. She was supposed to come down and stay wif us to give me my sendoff. But instead I came to her and said goodbyes. Already so spoiled, little Babe. ❤️ She has never known what it feels like to be truly loved. Tonight, the vet told us that at some point her jaw was also broken and was simply left to heal on its own, with no care, no comfort and no one to help her. 💔 This little girl has known nothing but heartache, pain, fear, loneliness and neglect. I thank God with all my heart that we found her. Her past may have been filled with suffering, but her future will be completely different. From this day forward, Babe will never, ever have to know pain, loneliness, fear or neglect again. She will know love. She will know safety. She will know kindness. Here’s a photo of the dog I rescued at 10 pm on Saturday night. I really believe I saved her life. She was about to run into the highway and I ran into the road to save her while she was about to make a run into oncoming traffic. She’s very sweet, appears to be no older than 2, she is gentle, high energy, and seems to be crate trained. I spent the weekend looking for a no kill shelter for her because animal control probably would have killed her in one month or less if nobody adopted her. It’s the sad reality for most stray dogs in America. I took these pictures of her this morning when I was giving her a belly rub. She is going to be picked up by a transporter for @BDRRescue Big Dog Ranch rescue in 4 hours. If you’re interested in adopting her, DM me and I will connect you with Big Dog Ranch. She loves running in the back yard. A very pretty dog. She looks like a Daisy so I have been calling her Daisy. I hope she finds a furever home. Once she was out of that kennel and realized she was safe, she completely changed.❤️ She became a sweet, loving girl who wanted nothing more than to stay close to my side and get some love and attention.❤️ She opened up, followed me around and showed me the gentle girl hiding underneath all that fear. You could tell she was missing her family. 🥺 Hammy has also participated in playgroup and did okay. She seems non-reactive to other dogs, and she is currently enjoying being kenneled separately. She loves being outdoors, likes the water, and there is clearly so much more to this beautiful girl than what you see when she is frightened inside her kennel. Yesterday we found Babe, but we couldn't get her, and we simply couldn't stop thinking about her. Tonight we went back and searched for more than an hour until we finally found her. 💔 Someone had hit this innocent girl on the head with a panga, leaving her with a horrific, severely infected wound, and she is also suffering from severe mange. We took her straight to the vet because she needs urgent treatment, care and so much love. I don't know what Babe has been through or how long she has been suffering, but I do know that her suffering ends here. She is safe. She has been seen. She is being treated.
