A 565 DM Gulf of Alaskan low axis will be dropping southward towards Southern California region off the coast approximately 70 to 100 miles off of Santa Barbara at the same time remnants of tropical moisture from Rachel will be teleconected northward trajectory into our region on Sunday 4 PM through Tuesday 6 PM rainfall amounts are still bouncing between 0.85 to 2.0 inches across much of Southern California. These particular EU1 and GFS values continue to be very aggressive on the stance of the tropical moisture being ejected also into Arizona and into southern Nevada as well. This storm situation is also associated with a deeper low axis that will start taking shape off Pismo Beach, California, by Monday at 4 AM, with an embedded shortwave that will move across Ventura, Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino, and San Diego counties.
