Kathy Hochul engaged in radical gamesmanship by pardoning a convicted alien and mooting a case scheduled before SCOTUS in October.
The Trump admin asked the Court to take another case and decide whether criminal aliens can be held without bond throughout removal proceedings, or get a hearing when detention, by their own making, drags on.
The answer is simple: the Fifth Amendment does NOT entitle criminal aliens to a bond hearing after they stall their own cases for months in order to delay removal and abscond.
Mandatory detention, as Congress required, means they STAY IN CUSTODY until they are removed.

Ran into two Iranian men at the Mid term convention holding Israeli flags and with a Bibi Netanyahu pins.
He told me the Iranian people have been held hostage for 48 years by the IRGC.
He said the Israel flag carries a message from inside of Iran and that Bibi is called "beloved" in Iran.

This weekend at @THS_hamptons, we were joined in conversation by @TheLeoTerrell, who chairs the U.S. Department of Justice's Task Force to Combat Antisemitism.
We began by discussing the safety of our community in light of this weekend's events at the @CenSynNYC, an assault Leo was āhorrifiedā by.
I shared with the congregation how fortunate we are to have Leo at the helm of the task force, working to strengthen security for Jewish communities across the country.
Hatred may test us this week. It will not define us. We remain grateful for leaders like Leo Terrell, and for a community that continues to gather in faith, in strength and in hope.

The American Tour Against Hate is a recently announced multi-city speaking and awareness tour, promoted by Leo Terrell (a Department of Justice official), set to begin October 14, 2026, in Michigan.
Described it as a response to incidents of antisemitism, religious discrimination, and related hate, including events in Michigan such as a reported attack on a Jewish student and a lawsuit alleging Dearborn treats Christian and Jewish residents as second-class citizens. Leo has publicly invited or expressed interest in speakers such as Dan Bongino and Nicki Minaj.
