As at when Peter Obi bought his First House in the UK in 1987 my Parents were still Boyfriend and Girlfriend. Jim Ovia hadn't started Zenith Bank yet. Elumelu had just finished NYSC and was a new staff at Union Bank. Otedola had just become a Managing Director for the first time at Impact Press. Dangote was still basically a young trader and hadn't moved into manufacturing yet. Tinubu was still a mere staff at Mobil. Pastor Chris was still a Student Pastor. I could go on and on.. Is this the man you are comparing with the Forger in Aso Rock? If not for Politics who's Wike, Umahi and even Tinubu to Speak when Obi is talking? OBI IS COMING

I have said this before, and I believe it is important to remind Nigerians of my position as we approach 2027. Peter Obi has my support for the presidency. But my position is clear, I am not supporting the idea of Peter Obi becoming somebody else’s Vice President. The day Peter Obi accepts a Vice Presidential position, I will walk away from his corner. I have said this plainly, and I stand by it. My concern is not about personalities. It is about the kind of leadership Nigeria needs and the direction in which we want our country to go. I have also argued that we should begin to rethink the age of those seeking executive office. The Nigerian presidency should not become a retirement home for politicians. I believe there should be a serious national conversation about limiting presidential and gubernatorial candidates to those aged 70 or below. Nigeria needs leadership that is focused on the future, not simply another cycle of political succession. These are principles I have stated publicly, and Nigerians should judge them for themselves.

Today we wrote to 30+ multinational funders, election partners and diplomatic missions that support or engage with INEC, urging them to back five concrete transparency commitments ahead of 2027. We also sent a 130- page evidence pack that supports our advocacy with data and facts. And we drew their attention to Nyesom Wike's interview on TVC yesterday. If a politician can say he "stopped" a candidate from winning, and legitimacy is whatever INEC declares, then INEC's systems must be transparent and independently verifiable. INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEACE: NIGERIA REQUIRES MORE THAN THE END OF CONFLICT As the world observes the International Day of Peace, Nigeria must acknowledge a difficult truth: enduring peace cannot be achieved while citizens continue to face insecurity, hunger, poverty, and despair. Peace means more than the absence of violence. It exists when farmers can travel safely to and from their fields, children can attend school without the threat of abduction, families can afford adequate food, and young people can envision a future in their own country. For this reason, peace must be grounded in effective governance. Governments must safeguard lives, ensure justice, combat corruption, invest in education and healthcare, expand productive opportunities, and manage national resources responsibly. We cannot continue addressing only the visible effects of insecurity while neglecting the circumstances that generate desperation and instability. Every naira misused represents a lost opportunity to strengthen peace. Every citizen left without support reflects a crisis overlooked. Every injustice committed erodes the foundations of peace. Nigeria possesses the resources necessary to become a secure, peaceful, and prosperous nation. What is required is leadership, accountability, and the political will to place the Nigerian people at the centre of governance. On this International Day of Peace, let us pledge to build a Nigeria in which justice is upheld, lives are protected, opportunities are expanded, and every citizen can live with dignity and hope. OBI/KWANKWASO TALKS NIGERIA, THE KADUNA TOWNHALL Yesterday, after my visit to the Sheikh Muhammad Sambo Memorial Islamic Institute in Rigachikun, Kaduna, I joined my running mate, His Excellency, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, and candidates of our party for an interactive town hall meeting organised by the party. The town hall, which is a continuation of our series of engagements with citizens following the one we recently held in Port Harcourt, again afforded us the opportunity to interact directly with our fellow citizens, listen to their concerns, answer their questions and hear their contributions on the critical issues facing our country today. Our response was to reassure our dear compatriots of our commitment to uniting our nation, pulling our people out of poverty, investing in healthcare and education, and aggressively tackling insecurity, so that our people can safely return to their homes, communities and farms. We also spoke about the need to address the endemic corruption and inefficiencies in the fuel subsidy regime, reduce the burden of fuel costs on Nigerians, and create an economy that supports our citizens to live decent and dignified lives in their own country. Let me use this opportunity once again to call on our opponents to also speak directly with the people and listen to their feedback. The very essence of democracy is people-centred governance. Leaders and aspiring leaders must therefore leave their comfort zones and interface directly with the people they seek to serve. I thank our party leadership and the organisers of this town hall for a job well done, and I congratulate the good people of Kaduna State for their renewed commitment to supporting a leadership that listens to and respects their concerns. Today, as I conclude my four-day working visit to the United States, I leave encouraged by the people I met, the conversations we shared, and the enduring hope I saw for a better Nigeria. During the visit, I had the opportunity to engage with prominent personalities and exchange views on issues of importance to Nigeria, the United States, and our people, especially the future of our vast youthful population. One of the most fulfilling parts of the trip was meeting young Nigerian professionals — doctors, lawyers, engineers, technology professionals, entrepreneurs, educators, and business leaders — who are excelling in their various fields while remaining deeply committed to a better Nigeria. My message to them was simple: you are not outsiders to Nigeria’s future; you are an important part of it. The knowledge, experience, and innovation of Nigerians in the diaspora are enormous national assets. We must build a country that welcomes their contribution and gives every Nigerian a meaningful opportunity to participate in our national development. I shared with them my vision of a New Nigeria — a country where the son or daughter of a nobody can become somebody without knowing anybody; where your background does not determine your destination, and where hard work, competence, and integrity matter more than connections. We must move Nigeria from consumption to production. We must invest in education, healthcare, and our people, support enterprise, create productive jobs, and build an economy that gives our young people genuine reasons to believe in their future at home. Our young people should not have to leave Nigeria before their talents are recognised or their dreams become possible. I was also pleased to engage with diaspora media, including NoireTV Network and Adeola Talks, where I shared my thoughts on building a more productive, secure, and prosperous Nigeria. It was a fulfilling visit, but the work continues. I look forward to continuing these conversations with Nigerians at home and across the world. Wherever we may live, we all have a role to play in building the Nigeria we desire. Our challenges are great, but our potential is greater. We have the people, the talent, and the resources to build a country where opportunity is not determined by who you know or where you come from, but by what you can contribute. "If anybody can establish anything to the contrary, I will stop campaigning." Years after leaving office, opposition set up a Peter Obi Investigation Committee. Discrepancy found, and this man pointed to the bank account the money sits. This man was called a lesser evil a few days ago. This is a lesser evil? The man who can say if any minor discrepancy is found, he will stop campaigning? The man whose hands are clean? It is well. You know, I see why we do not see this virtue as the greatest requirement a politician can have. So, we overlook it because ourselves, we are not a upright people. So, we do not see the intangibles like integrity as what builds a nation. Abraham Lincoln ranks as the greatest president of the United States simple because of his moral resolve. That's it. That's all. This man right here is our Abraham Lincoln. When it comes to virtue and character, this is the one. No Nigerian politician touches the crest he stands. None. None of them can make these statements. None of them. And that is why it baffles me when Christians oppose this man. This is as close to the biblical idea of a just ruler as it can get on our political scene in this nation. And if I had my way, the church should actually lend a hand to a candidate like this. But no matter what happens, Mr. Peter Obi, posterity will be kind to you.

Debunking the Phantom Debts and Ecological Loan Fallacy My attention has been drawn to trending claims by the Anambra State Government that my administration left behind inherited debts, including a ₦2 billion ecological loan, contractor liabilities, and unpaid salaries, gratuities, and pensions. This is completely false. We systematically liquidated historical gratuities and arrears dating back several years, amounting to over ₦35 billion. At the point of handover, the state owed nothing in salaries, gratuities, or pensions, nor did we owe anything to any contractor for projects duly executed and certified. The ₦2 billion ecological fund in question was released barely three months before the end of my tenure for the Oko/Umuchiana erosion crisis. Despite pressure to spend the money, I refused, insisting that it should be left for my successor because government is a continuum and the funds were tied to a specific project. The money was therefore left 100 per cent intact in First Bank, in Account No. 2018779464, with a balance of over ₦2.13 billion. It is important to stress that funds tied to specific projects or set aside for particular purposes were not even included in the over ₦75 billion in savings we left behind. If anybody can establish anything to the contrary, I will stop campaigning. -PO

This is my @OjyOkpe appreciation tweet. Thank you for grilling my presidential candidate. You were professional, you didn’t give him an easy time and you asked the hard questions and ensured you got the answers needed to be heard by many and they got the answers. This is what interviewing a presidential candidate should be like. Conversations about things that affect the people and not mundane conversations. My presidential candidate lived up to expectations and he gave Nigerians a glimpse of what responsible and accountable leadership looks like. He showed for sure that he will not give kool aid treatment to national issues but will give the best way for the Nigerian masses rather than for a few. Saddening Killings in Benue State Continue Unabated. There are moments when words fail because no words can fully express the pain of losing innocent lives to violence. I have just received distressing reports of the latest attack in Ayilamo, Logo Local Government Area of Benue State, where innocent citizens and security personnel have reportedly been killed. My heart goes out to the families who have once again been forced to bury their loved ones, and to the entire people of Logo. I share in your pain. Only days ago, I travelled to Benue to stand with families devastated by violence in Yelwata. Even in that moment of grief, when all that should have mattered was humanity, my attempt to reach the affected community was disrupted. Yet that experience has only strengthened my conviction that we must never become indifferent to the suffering of our people. Whether the victim is a farmer, a child, a police officer, a soldier, a Christian, a Muslim, or a person of any ethnic group, every Nigerian life has equal value. We must stop counting our dead and start protecting our living. I call on the Federal Government and all security agencies to urgently act, bring the perpetrators to justice, and, most importantly, prevent these recurring attacks. Nigeria cannot continue on this path. My deepest condolences to the bereaved families. May God comfort them, receive the souls of the departed, and give our nation the wisdom and courage to confront this evil decisively. A nation that cannot protect the lives of its citizens has a duty to ask itself some very difficult questions. We must do better. We must secure Nigeria. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

Earlier today, while in New York, I joined in prayers and a service of remembrance to honour the innocent lives lost on September 11, 2001. Twenty-five years later, the pain of that tragic day remains deeply felt by the families who lost loved ones and by a nation that has continued to carry their memory. We also honour the extraordinary courage of the firefighters, police officers, first responders, and ordinary citizens who ran towards danger to save others. Their selflessness remains a powerful reminder of the courage and goodness that humanity is capable of, even in the face of unimaginable tragedy. Beyond nationality, race, religion, or political differences, there is a fundamental truth that binds us all: human life is sacred, and our shared humanity must unite us, especially in our darkest moments. To every family still carrying the pain and memory of a loved one lost that day, and to the American people, I extend my heartfelt sympathy, prayers, and solidarity. May the souls of all those who lost their lives continue to rest in peace. May their memory inspire us to work towards a world where peace, compassion, justice, and respect for human life prevail over hatred and terror. We remember. We honour. We will never forget. Thereafter I continued with my high level meetings which just ended now. We remain prayerful to God Almighty for a peaceful world. -PO
