NHS professional. Volunteer in support of hospice & dementia care. Love music as my Dad was a semi professional musician and I grew up going to his gigs.

It is NOT our responsibility to be the saviour of the world and its woes. We don't have the financial means, the land to accommodate more people, nor the infrastructure. Charity begins at home.

Just accept it Andy Burnham the days of funding the BBC are over. Who wants to have to pay for tripe like"Homes under the Hammer" repeats showing houses being turned into HMOs. Subscription based only for "Auntie Beeb".

Saw an argument on FB raised by someone who said women make a choice wearing a niqab. Sorry but they don't. They are brainwashed from an early age to wear it because their Mum did and their Dad said it was expected as part of their religion.

Why do funeral directors and crematorium charge so much for your loved one to be cremated? In accordance with my dying Mum's wishes she wants her ashes to be scattered with no fuss and I arrange a party afterwards celebrating her life.

He has literally incited those who support terrorism and now back tracked. Too late..the horse has bolted.
I will never go to war for this Labour government or for Islamist causes, and neither will my sons. Send your own sons! x.com/Montpop2000/status/210…

The majority of pensioners in this country have a modest state pension that is going to increase to 13k per year. Yet the very people who denounce the right of pensioners to have a small increase are those who never needed a state pension in the first place to rely upon.

If you weren't housing the rest of the world, that charity wouldn't need to exist.
Wish me luck! If you can spare a few quid, here’s the link to donate to Changing Lives homelessness charity: justgiving.com/page/andy-bur…

ex NHS professional and carer for my terminally ill father and my actively dying Mum. I give credit to our local hospice Dorothy House, for providing a peaceful respite for people who die. They and other hospices need funding!

Relief that the assisted dying bill hasn't gone through. Focus our efforts on hospice assistance for all who are dying and medical practices that support dying with dignity. It doesn't have to be life or death care.

Please do not think you are immune to developing Dementia in later life. My Mum thought she was as she was so vibrant and healthy most of her life. She thought Dementia was nothing that could happen to her..but it did.

The GOVT is robbing Peter to pay Paul and one of the hot topics is ordinary pensioners who claim a state pension. Anyone would think that the GOVT thinks pensioners have the audacity to claim something they paid into all their working lives.

The biggest threat to the UK are our government and MPs who agree with them.

The Falklands belong to the people who have lived there for years and voted overwhelming to remain British. Argentina wasn't even a country when the Falklanders lived there. The hand of God says feck off Argentina.

Food fortified by vitamins does help. To complain about folic acid or other vitamins added to food when you sit eating a highly processed Mc Donald's.

My Mum has entered the last stage of her Dementia journey on Earth now I sadly think. When she could still talk coherently she said she wanted to see her Mum and Dad and I held her hand yesterday, stroking her and said "we love you Mum and go be with your Mum and Dad ".

Chest feeding, instead of breastfeeding, is apparently the appropriate "fashionable " word now to use to be more "inclusive " in the UK. Inclusive to whom and which idiot made this term up?

We have enough criminals in our country, that commit atrocities, without importing more who do the same.
