All the guys who thought they could help... Unless you are a trained lifeguard DO NOT attempt to help as the other lifeguards will likely have to pull your ass out of the water instead of helping the primary lifeguard.

That “gorilla grip” through wave after crushing wave is next-level. 16-year-old State Parks lifeguard Ryder Williams at Seabright Beach, Santa Cruz held on tight while the ocean tried everything to take the kid. Boy was checked by paramedics and walked away fine one of 25+ rescues that day. Absolute legend.
