The tribe Alans were the only ones on the steppe who perhaps used the term RELATED to *arya as a self-designation. No other group did. But there is significant scholarly support that the term actually comes from *aryana and not RITUAL *arya directly *aryana means "of aryas"

Autosomally, too, I believe the earliest samples are much different from proper Andronovo-derived Steppe groups. Interestingly, these lands have long been recorded as the area called Ariana (~250 BCE) by Eratosthenes. Much like *Aryana, which the Alans apparently borrow from!

The Younger Avestan text Frawardīn Yašt 13.16 mentions a figure named Gaōtəma, whose name is linguistically cognate with Vedic Gotama. In his paper "Contending for the cosmos: a Zoroastrian poet’s mysterious rival"

The episode may preserve a memory of religious competition between remanent Vedic and Avestan traditions. Which also perhaps alude to the fact that perhaps concepts like Gotras (this obviously wasn't the original Gautana!) were present in Iranic lands.

If this actually a descendent of Gautamas & a rival sage it means that the concept of gotra is pre-Rig Vedic before they moved to India and Iran. Also, that rishis/priests came out of these gotras. Fits comfortably with my own theory!

tbh Indian arms industry is pretty underrated. SSS Defense (Indian) makes NATO-grade weaponry and even the sights used are made by Tonbo Imaging (another Indian company). Tonbo even supplies the U.S SoF and Navy SEALs, also having deals w/ companies like Beretta, Rafael, ect.
#BREAKING | SSS Defence has won the contract for supplying qty 90 7.62x39mm Assault Rifles to UP Police beating AWEIL.

Good afternoon @anandmahindra sir! I am part of Scimplify, the chemical company you posted about in your tweet :) We would love to host you at our lab & office and show you what are other cutting edge processes we are working on
The Indian startup ecosystem is on steroids. And what excites me most is that this isn’t just about software. It’s about deeptech. Manufacturing technology. Hardcore hardware. Cutting-edge chemical processes. A new generation of Indian entrepreneurs is building the capabilities that could allow us to leapfrog entire stages of technological development. These videos, courtesy @ashleevance & @RuntimeBRT, offer just a glimpse of what’s being cooked up in labs, workshops & factories across India. And right on cue, Rajan Anandan, former head of Google India, & Saurabh Srivastava, one of India’s pioneering entrepreneurs & institution builders, have released a book calling India a ‘Lift-Off Nation.’ An apt description. Because I believe the world is about to witness a tidal wave of technological innovation emerging from India. And it’s being powered by young entrepreneurs who are daring to build things we once assumed could only be built elsewhere. My salute to them. #MondayMotivation
