Worst saying ever “women just mirror their man.”
It is an excuse.
One of the worst patterns I see in coaching is the woman who externalizes everything.
She cannot regulate her own emotions, so whoever is closest becomes the reason she feels the way she feels.
Your husband’s actions do not get to decide whether you keep your commitments, ladies.
It’s why when I ask her direct question she can’t answer them with a yes or no.
She says, “But what about…”
Tell her you just need a straight answer and she hits you with, “Don’t force me to communicate like a man.”
That is the tell.
She will mirror him when it benefits her.
She will not mirror him when he asks her her to🤔
Mirroring is only allowed on her terms.
Whatever she feels in the moment gets blamed on the room, the tone, the kids, the money, his face.
Never on the fact that she cannot sit with an emotion without making it someone else’s job.
Long term, she tries to control everything around her.
Any break from her rules becomes a tantrum.
Then she blames the tantrum on the break.
She will spend years trying to make the outside world stable enough that she never has to govern herself.
It never works.
So she blames him, the marriage, her friends, her mother, and eventually the culture for a peace she refused to build.
Hot does not fix this.
Pretty does not fix this.
If she cannot answer a simple question without turning it into your character flaw, do not marry her.
