PDAM sebulan katakan 120-an ribu; setahun 1,4 juta; 10 tahun 14 juta. Sumur bor, kabarnya di 20-an juta.

A shoemaker's son who left school at 16 wrote a book in 1854 that nobody knew what to do with, and 83 years later a 21-year-old at MIT opened it and found the blueprint for every computer chip on Earth. I went down this rabbit hole at 1am and I still can't get over how thin the thread is. His name was George Boole. The book is called The Laws of Thought. Boole never went to university. Not for a single day. His father fixed shoes in Lincoln, England, and spent his spare money on telescopes and math books instead of the shop. The shop failed. At 16, George started teaching just to feed the family. So he taught himself everything else at night. At 14 he translated an ancient Greek poem into English. A local paper printed it. A schoolmaster wrote in to say no boy that age could have done it. By 1849, a university in Ireland made him its first professor of mathematics. A man with no degree, now handing them out. Then he asked a strange question. What if thinking follows rules, the same way numbers do? Every argument you've ever had is built from statements that are either true or false. "It's raining." "I have an umbrella." Boole wanted to do math on those, the way you do math on 2 and 3. So he built an algebra with only two numbers. - 1 means true - 0 means false - AND works like multiplying - OR joins two ideas together - NOT flips one into the other The whole system rested on one odd little equation. x times x equals x. Try it with any normal number and it breaks. 5 times 5 is not 5. It only works for two numbers in the entire universe. Zero and one. "Let us conceive, then, of an Algebra in which the symbols x, y, z, &c. admit indifferently of the values 0 and 1, and of these values alone." That's Boole, in 1854. Mathematicians found it clever. Philosophers argued about it. Nobody built a single thing with it. Boole died ten years later at 49, after walking two miles to a lecture in pouring rain. He never saw his idea do anything useful. Jump to 1936. A 20-year-old named Claude Shannon is working on a giant calculating machine at MIT. It's packed with relays, little electrical switches that click open and shut. Wiring them together is mostly guesswork. But Shannon had taken a philosophy class back at the University of Michigan. It covered Boole. He looked at the switches and saw the 1s and 0s. - A closed switch lets current through. That's 1. - An open switch blocks it. That's 0. - Two switches in a row only pass current if both are closed. That's AND. - Two switches side by side pass current if either one is closed. That's OR. Boole's algebra of thought was also an algebra of electricity. Same rules. Same two numbers. Shannon wrote it up as his master's thesis in 1937. The psychologist Howard Gardner later called it possibly the most important master's thesis of the century. Shannon just shrugged. "It just happened that no one else was familiar with both fields at the same time." Sit with that for a second. The idea was sitting in a library for 83 years. It only needed one person who happened to be standing in two rooms at once. The phone in your hand holds billions of those switches. Every photo, every text, every AI answer is them flipping between 1 and 0, following rules a self-taught teacher wrote down before the light bulb existed. Boole thought he was writing down how the human mind works. He ended up writing down how machines would think.

The Key: Before his invention you had to carry around something called a Church Key to open a drink can. Ermal Fraze stood at a picnic in 1959 without a church key. The thin steel tool that punched two holes in a flat-top beer can had stayed home. He worked the can against the bumper of the car until the metal gave. Beer sprayed. The moment fixed the problem for him as a design task rather than an inconvenience. Fraze owned Dayton Reliable Tool and Manufacturing in Dayton, Ohio. He had spent years building dies and forming equipment. He knew aluminum’s formability. After the picnic he stayed up through the night and worked out an integral rivet: a portion of the can end itself pushed upward into a stud, the tab set over it and flattened back down. No separate fastener pierced the pressurized lid. The tab, when lifted, acted as a lever that tore a pre-scored wedge of the end. The first commercial use appeared on Iron City Beer in Pittsburgh. By 1965 roughly three-quarters of U.S. beer cans carried some version of the design. He received U.S. Patent 3,255,917 in 1963 for the method of attaching the tab. Design patent 195,604 covered the appearance. Alcoa took exclusive licenses. In the same year Fraze told the New York Times he had not invented the easy-open end—people had been trying since 1800—but he had solved the attachment. He declined to quote figures yet described the royalties as small per can and substantial in total. Later accounts from his company placed the number of easy-open ends in the tens of billions annually while the patents remained in force. Dayton Reliable Tool supplied the tooling that stamped and riveted the ends; by 1980 the firm reported roughly $50 million in revenue and five hundred employees. Fraze died in 1989. At his death the estate was reported at $51 million. The removable tab created two durable problems. The sharp aluminum rings littered roadsides, parks, and beaches. Jimmy Buffett’s 1977 line about blowing out a flip-flop on a pop-top recorded the common injury. Drinkers who dropped the ring into the can to avoid litter sometimes swallowed it; emergency rooms removed the metal from throats. States began to restrict or ban the detachable version. The industry needed a tab that stayed with the can. Daniel F. Cudzik, an engineer at Reynolds Metals in Richmond, Virginia, filed the design that became standard. U.S. Patent 3,967,752, issued in 1976, covered an “easy-open wall.” The tab remains riveted. Lifting it presses a scored panel inward; the panel stays hinged to the end and the tab folds flat against the lid. Fraze’s own later “ecology end” arrived the following year. Litigation between the parties resolved in favor of the Cudzik claims for the non-detachable mechanism. Reynolds licensed the patents across the industry while they lasted. Utility patents expire twenty years from the earliest effective filing date, subject to maintenance fees that must be paid at intervals. The core Fraze patents of the early 1960s and the Cudzik patents of the mid-1970s have been in the public domain for decades. No inventor or estate continues to collect royalties on the original pull-tab or stay-on-tab constructions used on ordinary soda and beer cans today. Incremental improvements in score geometry, tab alloys, and forming methods still appear in newer filings, but those claims cover only the specific later refinements, not the basic opening action that replaced the church key. The sound of the tab lifting and the scored metal breaking is the sound of two successive solutions to the same picnic problem: first the attached lever that made the separate tool unnecessary, then the lever that no longer left a sharp ring behind. This was the real key…

water is transparent only within a very narrow band of the electromagnetic spectrum, so living organisms evolved sensitivity to that band, and that's what we now call "visible light".

Panduan ringkas beli AC akhir tahun 2026. Versi my version saya. Berlaku untuk inverter maupun non. - Kalau bingung, mau yang jelas-jelas aja: Mitsubishi Electric. - Kalau ga ketemu stoknya: Panasonic atau Gree. - Kalau harganya kurang cocok: TCL, Midea/Comfee, Hisense, Polytron, Changhong (iya si cangong bagus tau). 🤗

Understanding Op-Amps: key analogue building block. Do you need an almost perfect amplifier, well that’s what an operational amplifier is. An Operational Amplifier (Op-Amp) is a high-gain voltage amplifier with differential inputs. In an ideal world, they have infinite gain, infinite input impedance, and zero output impedance. #OpAmps #operationalamplifier #analogue #analogelectronics #circuitdesign #HardwareDesign #electronicsnotes

Some people have rightly asked, if AI is so bad, whats the actual EVIDENCE for this ? Aside from a sort of "generalised armageddon panic". The negatives I think are strongly amplified in the young, because they need to learn, its here that the harm will manifest most strongly. One example of this (which is nothing to do with AI specifically) was this 1990 paper from the University of Rochester. "Self-Determination Theory and the Facilitation of Intrinsic Motivation, Social Development, and Well-Being" selfdeterminationtheory.org/… Essentially this is about a field of theory for learning and development called Self Determination Theory. "Perhaps no single phenomenon reflects the positive potential of human nature as much as intrinsic motivation, the inherent tendency to seek out novelty and challenges, to extend and exercise one's capacities, to explore, and to learn. Developmentalists acknowledge that from the time of birth, children, in their healthiest states, are active, inquisitive, curious, and playful, even in the absence of specific reward" This is all about how motivation can cause the "light switching on" behaviour in someone, many people experience this (I certainly have) where a person who is at first listless and drifting, can appear to suddenly "click" and become highly capable and focused. Parts of this can ONLY come about when a person HAS to focus and suceed on some task, through their own faculties. In those who do this of their own volition, the effects are most pronounced: "Comparisons between people whose motivation is authentic (literally, self-authored or endorsed) and those who are merely externally controlled for an action typically reveal that the former, relative to the latter, have more interest, excitement, and confidence, which in turn is manifest both as enhanced performance, persistence, and creativity" If children, or just anyone developing, can simply type whatever they want into an AI chatwindow, or give it any task they please, the intrinsic motivation at the code of Self Determination is broken, because the child has NO motivation to learn or understand anything fully in its full nature, (ironically, to "Grok" it). Since any task can simply be offloaded onto an entity at the other end of a phone or keyboard. This will, I think, have an absolutely catastrophic impact on the motivation and learning of young people, and will, if left to the unchecked plans of those with money in the game, be left listless, empty and demotivated. Some idiotic commentators who clearly dont understand it, say "everyone said this when pocket calculators arrived". This is clearly nonsense since the calculator cannot "do" any task you ask it, nor will it pretend it knows the answer, it can only simplify automated numerical actions. But when the pocket calculator, has enough power and instead of being able to tell you that the square root of 144 is 12 (which anyone who remembers their tables from school ought to remember anyway, so perhaps a poor example), can be asked "write a paper for me on Henry VIII" without you even having to go to a library or even know anything about him at all, we have a problem. Its not just about cheating in tests, its that if you dont TAKE the test, millions of young people`s brains will literally remain dormant and may NEVER develop into bright lights. Why would a child be inquisitive when ALL answers simply require asking the computer, what will happen is that what the paper calls "integrated regulation" (described below) may simply not happen. "Finally, the most autonomous form of extrinsic motivation is integrated regulation. Integration occurs when identified regulations are fully assimilated to the self, which means they have been evaluated and brought into congruence with one's other values and needs. Actions characterized by integrated motivation share many qualities with intrinsic motivation, although they are still considered extrinsic because they are done to attain separable outcomes rather than for their inherent enjoyment. In some studies, identified, integrated, and intrinsic forms of regulation have been combined to form an autonomous motivation composite." We cant "delete" AI, it was probably inevitable as soon as the transistor was created, but lets not imagine this will be "intrinsically" a force for growth. Human learning is under tremendous threat if this is not understood. What is staggering is how few people read ANYTHING about how humans learn, and how vast amounts of money is ploughed into AI, when we have not even made the most basic attempts to encourage OUR intelligence (OI). People need to stop thinking about this as a nice tool to help a software engineer get more code out the door, and realise the immense implications for the effects this will have on how children develop. The three pillars of Self Determination Theory are: 1) autonomy 2) competence 3) relatedness With widespread AI, how will any child develop competence when they can simply ask AI? How will any child develope relatedness when there is no connection between what the CHILD knows and the development of the world and people around them, and how can a young person become autonomous, when they have not developed wide-ranging competence. With some very strict controls, its possible that AI might act as a useful tool to facilitate access to curated information, but this does not appear to be what is being planned at this time.
