CEO at vibe.co (acquired by Walmart)

It's official: @Walmart to acquire @vibedotco ! What the Vibe team has built since our inception is phenomenal. Not just an ad platform but a full infrastructure that unlocked real performance on CTV. Joining forces with Walmart, the largest US retailer and second largest US ecommerce retailer as well as Vizio’s ecosystem, will open up endless opportunities for the people we fight for every day: publishers and advertisers. We unlocked Performance TV. Now it's time to make it as big as Search & Social. And we couldn't have dreamed of a better home than Walmart to do so. But if anyone is to be celebrated in this deal, it's our team. Absolute legends. Insane concentration of talent. To be clear though, this is not the finish line for us. It's a massive accelerator for our mission to transform TV advertising forever. We can't wait to join forces with the Walmart and Walmart Connect teams, along with John Furner, Seth Dallaire, Ryan Mayward and so many more brilliant minds. It’s Day 1, 10am. Back to work! - Arthur, a proud future Walmart associate

This! I’ll always remember @niravtolia telling me “you owe this to your employees and your family”
If you can get the bag, you MUST secure it. You can not afford to be the victim of a near bag experience.

I call this the Recruiting Hunger Games. Strongly recommend this in early stage when you need to find 1 super strong performer quickly. Statistically only 1 of 3 will be. Ditch the 2 others. More costly and doesn’t work for every role though.
somebody once told me to always hire in twos or threes or more. and then fire the low performers. sounds sorta unethical?!

Me after figuring out AI Agents are just Intelligence On Demand working against a self maintaining set of truths.
Here’s what most get wrong about AI Agents: they try to replace human roles and make them work the way humans do. Org structures exist in human teams because each individual has their own state and a degraded version of the general one making it necessary to regularly align. Truth is exponentially hard to maintain as organizations grow. It’s why smaller teams move faster. AI Agents work on a vastly larger surface, as a system with a centralized state. Where truth is constant. Skills, context and state are shared. They are ephemeral, task oriented and hierarchy-free. Alignment is maintained by design, not by process. Agents are deployed intelligence. Not a teammate.

finally a tool to generate gopnik launch videos
We raised $11M to make video editors obsolete. Not the humans, the tools. Think about the hours you lose searching for assets, moving clips frame by frame, fixing animations, checking exports, and redoing the same edits over and over. Poolday handles the entire video production process, start to finish, in one prompt. It learns your style. Uses your assets. Makes the video. QAs its own work. 100% on-brand videos. 100M+ video edits made for businesses all over the world. And today, anyone can use it. Tell us what video you'd like the agent to produce. The agent will build it for the first 50 people.

Brand marketing is performance marketing.
We just crossed $1 billion in trading volume on Novig — five weeks after launching our prediction market. Onward.

Can we talk about people who don’t hang up at the end of phone calls? Like… do you just drop the phone and leave? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?? DO YOU NOT KNOW WHAT THE BIG RED BUTTON IS FOR????

Yes. Scaling paid acq is a step function. Reach CAC. Scale budgets. Reach CAC. Scale Budgets. Repeat. For B2B, start with Google Ads though with high intent keywords. Super low hanging fruit. And, IMO, much easier to optimize your Landing Pages because of shorter buyer journeys. That’s how we scaled profitably to 7fig/month.
How to Do Paid Marketing Really, Really Well “Go one by one. Start with Meta. It’s the biggest, and it’s the one you can prove fastest. Based on the size of the company, spend a certain amount per week. Set the cap at the CAC you want to achieve, and only scale if you’re within that CAC. Otherwise, you start throwing money out the window. Your growth people will always want to spend more, and then you lose control. You need to be disciplined now if you want to be successful next year. Otherwise, you’ll have to pull back, spend less, and stop growing year over year.” @m_franceschetti Love to hear your thoughts on this @TaylorHoliday @andrewjfaris @DenneyDara

An interesting thing about now being part of Walmart is that our mission has taken on a whole new dimension. Before joining Walmart, Vibe’s mission was to make TV ads just as relevant and targeted as Instagram ads, because we believe making ads part of the UX is the best way to keep entertainment a sustainable industry. Now that we’ve joined Walmart, while all of this remains true, every dollar we generate goes back into the Walmart flywheel to help make life more affordable for hundreds of millions of Americans. I like it.

I resigned from Vibe today. I spent the last three years doing TV Ad Performance at both Vibe and Walmart. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving TV Advertising Performance and gambling with our ROI. More thoughts below.

This tweet caused panic at Walmart. I’m not resigning. It’s a shitpost in reference to Anthropic Researcher’s tweet. My bad 🙈
