AI you own, from bare metal to agentic solutions

We think expanding AI ownership is a 90B business opportunity. The AI Compute market is expected to hit $1.48T this year and 2T by 2030 (Gartner, AMD). CoreWeave alone has more than $100B in contracted backlog. But owning and operating GPU infrastructure is still built for the top of the market: hyperscalers, neoclouds, and huge enterprises with the capital and teams to buy, deploy, and run it themselves. There’s a massive underserved market underneath them: startups, mid-sized businesses, and individuals who want to make a long-term investment in their AI compute without becoming data center operators. We estimate that 4–5% of this projected market will be driven by these new buyers. That’s a ~$90B opportunity by 2030.

7 in 10 Americans don't want an AI data center built near them, per @Gallup in March. That opposition shows up in permitting fights and in what lenders will finance. Demand for compute keeps climbing anyway, and teams renting GPUs wait on capacity someone else has to build. See why owning compute is becoming a hedge against the backlash.

"Demand for compute is outpacing supply across every generation"
H200 rental rates have climbed back to where they stood at launch, even as Blackwell-generation B200s and B300s come online at scale. This is a clear signal that demand for compute is outpacing supply across every generation, and that prior-generation hardware is holding its value far better than most depreciation models assumed. For anyone buying, selling, or financing GPUs, it's a reminder that compute pricing is less about the chip on the spec sheet and more about who has capacity available when it's needed. lnkd.in/dh5QM2Wx

People have no idea the transformation that we've gone through as a company, truly mind blowing. Started in crypto gaming, acquired an industry leading gaming systems integrator, scaled that business + launched our AI / compute business recently. Many failures along the way, but never bet against ex-@coinbase founders. We never gave up, kept building throughout the bear on something real. Now @b3labs is solving complex problems + scaling to meet the massive success & demand we're seeing in AI. Our ambition is to democratize compute: distributing ownership of H200, B300, 6000s & future blackwell + latest gen AI hardware to more individuals... This speaks to the ethos of crypto (democratize finance = democratize power = democratize intelligence), and most are sleeping on what this entails for the base:0xb3b32f9f8827d4634fe7d973fa1034ec9fddb3b3 token & our community. We hope you'll join us on this mission.

The largest asset manager in the world says AI compute could be tokenized. We agree 😏 Today, if you want exposure to compute as an asset, most of the options are indirect: NVIDIA stock, DePIN tokens, cloud providers, etc. We think the most interesting asset is the machine itself: B300s. H200s. RTX PRO 6000s. Real hardware producing real compute, with real demand behind it. We’re already seeing how much people want to own these machines outright (enough demand to break our Stripe account). Tokenization can take that model further, expanding who can participate in ownership of physical AI infrastructure. Our goal is to expand ownership of compute - not just for hyperscalers and the Fortune 500. More soon.
Our latest research paper explores the growing connection between AI and digital assets and explains why broad AI adoption may drive new demand, utility and applications across the digital asset economy. blackrock.com/us/individual/…

Buying a full H200 node outright is out of reach for most individuals, so B3IQ lets owners start with an initial payment and pay the machine off over time. We host it in our secure Oregon warehouse. When you don't need the machine, you can opt in to rent it out to labs and research teams, and a share of that revenue can go toward the purchase price. @viktoriya0x walks @CamiRusso through one scenario, a node rented at full capacity for a year, and what compute rents for on the market today.

The GPU market in 2026: People posting on Twitter "I need 24 H200s, starting yesterday." Right now, there's no marketplace or transparency. Viktoriya Hying (@viktoriya0x) from @b3labs wants to change that, building the Airbnb for compute: Owner-operated GPUs, hosted in Oregon, matched with demand from AI labs and universities from day one. Watch the full conversation with @CamiRusso on The Defiant 👇

Our company @stripe account got shut down bc we started processing 8 fig txs. No one answered our support emails, customer funds were stuck, it was a nightmare. Switched to @airwallex, account was set up <2 biz days, compliance gets resolved sub 30 mins, couldn't be happier with their team. Pick partners who want you to grow.

Adding GPUs is the quick part. The power and grid work behind them takes much longer. @BerkeleyLab estimates data centers could use 11.8% of U.S. electricity by 2030. The International Energy Agency expects global data-center power use to nearly double by then.

You can do this with B3IQ and not incur the fury of your wife btw
You can just turn a garage into a mini datacenter. This was a 1 week project if you have carpentry skills.

If your house didn't come with a climate-controlled wine cellar to spare, we got you. Hardware you buy at b3iq.org stays hosted by us. Run your own private inference on it, or opt in to rent it out when you're not using it, based on network demand.
Our house in Toronto had this fancy glassed wine cellar, but we are not big wine drinkers. Anyways, it had good climate control so here is my rack cellar.

Even without delayed or blocked data-center projects, demand for compute is expected to outpace supply. Owning compute can hedge that risk: → Secure access to compute and avoid an inflated rental market → Sell unused capacity at a premium when compute gets scarce

Before: "The economics of owning compute doesn't work at my scale." With B3IQ: "I can automatically monetize my idle compute." Matt breaks down how B3IQ connects your owned GPUs directly to buyers on the offtake network.

In truth it was spiritually tiring to work in consumer crypto at times because a lot of it is extractive and basically forms of casinos. But since we pivoted to AI & compute with @b3labs - the whole team is energized with the mission of democratizing compute. To me and many others this was the core mission of crypto originally in form of democratizing finance, and I feel the same way about the impact on the world when it comes to compute. We live in a new age where you can convert energy into intelligence at increasing higher and higher ROI, and that’s an exciting world to help usher in and try to distribute that power evenly.
I'm very bullish on anyone offering dedicated on-prem VPC

$B3 rent-to-own model is effectively a leveraged long position on physical GPU infrastructure Over time @b3labs could build DeFi primitives around it, letting users speculate on compute prices, rental yields and GPU residual value Accelerate

B3IQ lets your startup own its own compute, one machine or several. On 20VC, @cliffweitzman walked @HarryStebbings through the cost of renting an H100 for a year versus buying one. Our CTO @seangeng adds what we're seeing from B3IQ buyers:
A node of 8x B300 GPUs will cost you about $550k and rent for around $375k a year, which is even a long duration (12-16 month) contract. Inference machines and owning compute is the productive asset of our generation!

Why Every Company Should Buy, Not Rent, GPUs “If I wanted to rent an H100 for a year at $3.50 to $5 an hour across cloud providers, multiplied by 24 hours a day and 365 days a year, I’d end up paying $35,000 to $50,000. But I could buy that same GPU for $30,000.” @cliffweitzman Love to hear your thoughts on this @GavinSBaker @stephenbalaban @dylan522p
