You can’t trade him when his contract is up. You could do a sign and trade, but I don’t know if that makes as much sense in baseball as it does in professional basketball. Would you even get a draft pick for him?

Okay I’ve seen a lot of people upset that we’re still rebuilding and I think that is ridiculous however, this is a crazy take this is a player hold onto

Absolutely not burly is part of the core to build around this rebuild is ahead of schedule. You don’t just keep moving everyone for prospects every year the sell off was last year and this deadline the sell off should be over time to build .

And now they are spending nothing…They is a happy medium…they could easily afford what this team needs to compete,They already have the minors set up … so why not get some players on short term deals …. They can always trade them for more prospects when the others are ready
