This is what it looks like when parents are invested in the quality of their kids' education. This is a very good sign for Wisconsin.

Wisconsin’s estimated wolf population fell to 1,226 in the winter of 2024-25, down 6.5% from the previous winter. But the figure remains well above what DNR initially reported for 2023 and comes after the agency reformed its methods of counting wolves. badgerinstitute.org/numbers/…

First of all, it is not only red states opting into this opportunity. Second, I'd really appreciate it if @GovEvers expanded upon why he thinks these are public funds. These scholarships are funded ENTIRELY by private donations incentivized by federal a tax credit.
Republicans want to send public funds to private schools with: ❌ No student achievement metrics ❌ No school accountability measures ❌ No minimum or maximum scholarship size ❌ No certain end date ❌ No federal cap on spending YOUR tax dollars That's a NO ❌ from me.

Correct. In the words of our 2024 policy brief: “To determine whether the proposal is realistic, this paper asks two primary questions: How do other states without an income tax fund their essential services? Under what circumstances would this be feasible in Wisconsin?”
This @WisPolitics headline is misleading, making it sound like several conservative groups have come out against @TomTiffanyWI's suggestion that he may eliminate the income tax. The WisPolitics headline links to a left-wing Milwaukee Courier article which doesn't even cite a group opposing Tiffany's statement per se, let alone multiple. It merely cites a @badgerinstitute report from 2024 that discussed the issue theoretically. Another conservative group, @ReformingGovt, endorses eliminating the income tax and has polling showing it's a popular idea. milwaukeecourier.com/news/20…

Critics say Wisconsin doesn’t need a proposed amendment barring racial discrimination by government programs. Besides, they say, it would block government preferences for one racial group over another. Do these critics even hear themselves? badgerinstitute.org/the-only…
