🇺🇸🇮🇷 Is the Iran decision already made? The commander who runs the war flew in to brief Trump in person at the White House today
CENTCOM's Adm. Brad Cooper almost never sees the president face to face; the last time was July on Air Force One, when he brought a two-week plan to escalate strikes.
Today he sat with Trump, Hegseth and Joint Chiefs Chairman Dan Caine to lay out options on Iran and the blockade, a day after the same officers briefed Vance, the man running the back channel to Tehran.
The Wall Street Journal says the meeting could signal the US is moving closer to major operations.
Put the week together: Patriots flown to Israel, troops pulled off exposed bases, the Gulf told to brace for a short, intense campaign, two weeks of quiet strikes on Iranian launchers, and now the war's commander walking the plan into the Oval Office five days before the vote.
Iran has rebuilt missiles underground and promised to hit Gulf oil and civilians if attacked.
Vance's letter is still sitting unanswered in Tehran, so unless Iran writes back before Tuesday, the briefing today was the last step before the order.
