i think people are underestimating what just shipped the product isn’t the workspace - - the product is shared context once people, code, workflows and AI agents operate from the same cryptographically verifiable history, coordination starts looking very different. this feels less like Slack with AI and more like an operating system for agentic organizations

the receipts are getting pretty hard to ignore onchain data shows ~$19.7M USDT0 moving from a Bitget hot wallet and being used to buy 7,111 ETH on Arbitrum in roughly six minutes whether Bitget officially confirms the incident or not, i wouldn’t be taking chances with funds sitting on the exchange right now if you have funds on Bitget, consider moving them to self-custody while this gets figured out stay safe out there.
Think @bitget hot wallet might’ve just been hacked for 20M? something hella fishy happening on @arbitrum Fresh wallet 0xe410…d946 just bought 7,111 ETH on Arbitrum in 6 min with 19.67M USDT0 (from a Bitget hot wallet), via UniswapX + 1inch Fusion, paying up to +5% over spot WETH/USDC pool hit $2,870 which makes no sense if someone was just trying to buy eth That’s just arb chain

been doing some rabbit hole diggings into Derive and i think the risk engine is the real product. the exchange is just the surface. once you move beyond simple trades, derivatives become a portfolio problem. a trader can hold spot, perps, calls, puts, different strikes and expiries, all against the same collateral. looking at each position independently gives you a poor picture of the actual risk. Derive’s Portfolio Margin Risk Manager approaches it differently. it models the portfolio across different spot and implied-volatility scenarios, finds the portfolio’s maximum modeled loss, then uses that to determine the margin requirement. that matters because capital efficiency becomes a function of how intelligently the system understands risk. better netting → less idle collateral → more capital available for strategies → greater trading capacity. and as products become more complex, that risk engine becomes increasingly important. the orderbook gets the attention. the risk engine determines how much financial complexity the venue can actually support.

noticed something worth saying out loud the already big accounts on X are growing faster than ever, while smaller accounts doing genuinely cool work are barely getting impressions, regardless of niche theres a lot of builders, creators, traders, and educators out here putting in serious work behind the scenes. real craft, and value. but the algorithm seems to keep funneling attention to the same handful of accounts that already have the spotlight. the standard feels biased - X should genuinely look into pushing more small accounts onto people’s radars. not in a charity way but in a quality way. give the algorithm a reason to surface fresh voices doing fun, original, useful things instead of just amplifying whoever already has the audience. growth on here is harder than its ever been for smaller accounts. and thats a problem worth solving - for the platform too. attention should reward effort and originality, not just existing follower counts. there are bangers being posted every day with 12 likes from people who deserve way more eyes. the platform that figures out how to surface them wins.

where most small creators get it wrong is thinking they have to start perfect. that’s a (-ve) if you fall into this category. a few tips you can start putting into practice instead • dont be scared to try • ask quality questions • erase the so-called mindset • don’t be afraid of making mistakes • put yourself out there consistently • have a mentor in your specialized niche but im sorry you cant start perfect, i’d rather channel my energy towards the above tips.

something about Variational’s $VAR tokenomics caught my attention 32% of the entire supply is going directly to the community at TGE, based on the points users have accumulated. 100% unlocked. i think this says something bigger about where crypto is heading. for years, too many teams treated users like temporary liquidity: extract attention, extract volume, extract TVL, then give the community whatever remains after everyone else gets paid. the better teams are starting to understand that users are part of the product. if someone spends months trading on your platform, referring people, providing liquidity, creating activity and helping you discover product-market fit, there is a very real argument that they should participate in the value they helped create. that changes the relationship between protocol and user. you’re no longer optimizing purely for short-term extraction. you’re giving users a reason to care about what happens to the platform years from now. and i think this is where the distinction between teams starts becoming really important. some teams optimize for the launch - others optimize for the network that exists after the launch. the latter are the teams i want to watch. because when users have genuine ownership, the incentive changes from how much can i extract before i leave?? to how much can we build together? Variational putting 32% of supply behind that relationship is a meaningful signal. the next question is whether that alignment survives after the airdrop. that’s where the real test begins.

This is cool. Right now I’m very bullish memetic tokens that have deep cultural lore with RH and crazy active communities (tendies) and those that drive mechanistic value accrual to RH chain (monitor). Feels like a barbell here is a good way to get exposure to the full chain. Goal right now is to sit still and not chop myself. Good luck.

i hope this is not same as other VC firms sad!!!
1/ gm. gm. Name is Hsin-Ju. I have a dark, kinda tragic personal announcement. I've decided I'd rather take $0 than accept a settlement that requires me to stay silent about what happened to me. I have since fired my lawyers at @sanfordheisler & will be releasing all the evidence from my time @hack_vc on Wed 8/26. INTRO: I've been in crypto for 9 years. Most recently I was a partner & head of platform @hack_vc which is a $600-700M crypto VC firm. Many of you may know me from my time as Head of Growth at @StellarOrg in 2017 (worked w/ the Mt. Gox founder), @Solana in 2018 (joined under ~10 ppl, but quit before my cliff), & @Fhenix in 2024. Or have attended one of my @DystopiaLabs ETH events (2019-now). Last year, I was forced to work through a serious medical emergency while at @Hack_VC due to threats by @alpackaP @dbulaevsky, saying that they would blacklist me from the space if I quit before finishing the hacksummit conference & side events that I was helping with during @kbwofficial. I was working 13-14hr days, 6 days a week, sleeping 0-4 hrs a night, and had documented Graves' disease, hyperthyroidism, and severe insomnia. I repeatedly asked to quit. Hack VC refused. This + other threats and intimidation went on for almost a month. The conditions got so bad I attempted suicide. The fucked up part is that, even after the suicide attempt, I told everyone at Hack VC (in writing) that I had no plans to sue. I was scared & extremely sick. I just wanted to leave. I told them that as long as there was no retaliation or badmouthing - I had no plans to sue. @Hack_VC chose to retaliate. After just 1 month after my near suicide, Hack VC mishandled my COBRA health insurance, refused to fix things, kept shooing me to customer support (when it's legally Hack VC's responsibility to fix this), and my insurance had issues and was not fixed for almost 4 MONTHS. Hack VC did not fix everything until I hired lawyers and had them force Hack VC to adhere to the law & fix my COBRA insurance issues. The sheer cruelty of an employer harming someone's health insurance almost immediately after they nearly committed suicide is extremely fucked up. And, even during the legal engagement, Hack VC continued to lie & attempt to harm me through their lawyers and other employees/partners (multi-million dollar carry & clawbacks can make even the nicest ppl willing to turn the other way or lie). @0xRodney @IsTheBaron @roshunpatel @Alex__Botte. Now. Almost an entire year of engagement & my near suicide anniversary coming up, our lawyers (mine & Hack VC's) have reached the point of preparing for private mediation and settlement. And...I realized that I just can't do it. I don't want money in exchange for silence. I'd rather speak. I fired my lawyers yesterday. In case it needs to be said, I did a good job at Hack VC. I was only there full time for 7 months; been part-time since 2021. I got a $50k raise to $300k, $30k bonus, and promises of additional carry that would have been implemented about a week or so after my last day. I was also offered admission into the GP entity (but not sure if admission was actually completed bc it was during my medical emergency). This + my resume, should show that me suing is not a money grab; I was genuinely harmed. I'm aware that I'm just one person (who is not rich) facing a $600-700M VC institution. I've been told by @alpackaP that he's known most of the managing partners at most VC firms for almost a decade and he could absolutely blacklist me. I'm also painful aware that the conclusion of this will probably be extremely poor for me or death - but I've accepted it. Sharing with other web2 & web3 VCs: @paulg @ycombinator @500STARTUPS @a16zcrypto @PanteraCapital @dragonflyvc @RaceCapital @hosseeb @haunventures @hiFramework @ElectricCapital @blockchaincap @Delphi_Digital @variantfund @1kxnetwork @archetypevc @shimacapital @robotventures, etc. TLDR; I’m done with continued threats, pressure, and intimidation. I'm not going to take a payout and allow Alex or Hack VC to walk away from harming me. As mentioned, I'll be dropping the evidence from my case on Wed 8/26 (or before) -- privacy be damned. Support here (or DM) please: ETH: 0x68c10776C5c05Cbf5B4C2318bE02D61B9f06B875 SOL: B7S8TPcWWJXTsmgG8ShoTmy8sNPuJ3Dbmt7z5gLFAveq

the best pre-bull winners usually don’t look like winners yet. you’re looking for the things the market hasn’t fully priced in: genuine product-market fit, accelerating usage, strong retention, improving liquidity, credible distribution, meaningful catalysts and a team that can actually execute. price is usually the lagging indicator. the harder part is separating real traction from temporary attention. anyone can manufacture volume for a week. far fewer protocols can keep users, grow activity, generate revenue and expand their distribution while still being early enough for the market to underestimate them. i like thinking about it as a convergence of signals: product → users → activity → revenue → distribution → liquidity → attention → price. when several of those start moving together before price fully reacts, you may be looking at a pre-bull winner. you’ll never catch all of them. you don’t need to. the game is finding enough of them early, sizing the uncertainty appropriately, and letting the winners reveal themselves as the cycle develops. the biggest edge in an early bull market is developing a framework that lets you recognize them before everyone else agrees.
best move is to deploy cash into pre-bull winners before Bitcoin impulses higher now the question is can you catch all pre-bull winners? maybe no. one can only predict. or anyone got strat used in singling them out?
