The secretary of state for Justice (an MP for Nottingham) rules out holding another Scottish independence referendum. He also says that voting on whether to be a member of the (European) Union is different to voting on whether to be a member of the union.

Dismissing a UK Cabinet Minister as an “English nonentity” and stripping the Scottish identity from the majority of voters who rejected independence by calling them a “provincial North Briton” is disgusting. Scotland is an equal partner in the UK, not a “colonised” territory, and you do not get to dictate who is and isn't a true Scot just because you decisively lost a democratic referendum.
