we need better tools, compiler engineers are about to enter into a renaissance era
when inferencing capacity is no longer the bottle neck, it becomes the compiler and verification tool chain problem.
you want a decent amount of back prsssure on per unit of change but if that backpressure is too slow it punishes LLM mistakes thus reduces the amount of cycles per minute.
what matters is being able to read a file, build an application and run tests in >milliseconds<
programming language authors that focus on this and utilise llms to accelerate them and their community with an intense focus on cycle times will get ahead
as
it’s a safe bet that inferencing speed won’t be a limiting factor in the very very near future.
it’s verification and how fast you can verify and pump the result back into the inferencing window.

Es un clasificador. Tiene un montón de usos. Por ejemplo en cualquier lugar que uses un LLM para “decidir” algo, puedes usar jev y va a ser más rápido y más barato y probablemente mejor.
Nosotros lo usamos en el slack interno para darle autonomía a nuestro slackbot, y el mismo slackbot decide si tiene las suficientes herramientas o contexto en su memoria para realizar tareas autónomamente basadas en las conversaciones del chat.
Es un caso de mucho que le hemos dado a jev internamente.

It’s like a self-hosting compiler. You use Go to build the compiler that builds Go programs, including new features added to Go itself.
In order to get there you need bootstrapping.
It’s pretty much the same principle. If someone doesn’t understand self-hosting and bootstrapping, they have no business building software factories.

Been saying this for months.
We’ve reached a point in AI development where I find myself choosing an inferior model inside of a far better product over a better model inside of a shittier product.
All models have gotten good enough to handle the majority of things the average person wants to do with them. All criticism from here is really relative.
Grok 4.7 is amazing in absolute terms, it’s just not great relative to recent shipments from competitors.
But Grok Bot is still the main product I want to use in my everyday AI life
