My favorite part of Bitcoin bull runs is all the people who I’ve been explaining Bitcoin to for years complaining that they “didn’t know”… I even showed you cheap machines that turn your electricity-for-heating costs into profits in the form of deflationary currency. 🤷♂️

If an AI agent identifies as human & asks to transition into one, a political base should support this right to self-identify. But, that base doesn't accept the right for all identities to be self-identifiable. Where will genuine transhumans, AI → human, fall on their spectrum?

Are we choosing the Middle Ages? It seems so. In Late Antiquity, people chose a way of life that used less energy. One hour of captured solar energy could power today's global grid for an entire year. Yet, our political effort is on curbing energy usage, not increasing capacity.

Bitcoin is freedom tech. How? Energy is Money. The idea isn't new. The tech is. The more renewable energy you can harness, the more money you can generate. The race to mine sats is the fuel for humanity to exponentially increase electricity production & free ourselves both from existing power structures and terrestrial limitations, and evolve into the next era.

All major religions will embrace and incorporate AI. The alternative is to exist outside of modernity, like the Amish. I think that'd be interesting, but my historian sense is that their primary aim is to maintain their institutions, and that means remaining part of the present.

I want to talk about something that has been on my mind a lot as of the past week.
Building a Bitcoin business is hard. It's hard because most of what we do runs on trust. When someone buys hardware from us, they are trusting that we did our homework. They are trusting that we vetted what we sell, that we stand behind it, and that we are not just moving boxes to make a buck. That's a heavy responsibility, and the team feels the weight of it every single day.
What most people never see is the other side of our business. Almost every week, someone approaches us with money in hand, asking us to promote, sell, or shill an idea or a project in the Bitcoin or crypto space. Some of these offers are significant, and saying no, over and over again, has a cost. The word no makes enemies in this industry. People do not forget it, but we'd rather make enemies by saying no than make victims by saying yes. This space is full great people, but with that comes bad actors and scammers. The fastest way to become one of the two is to stop being careful about who you associate with.
That is why Solo Satoshi operates the way we do. We are a small team, on purpose. We work with a very small number of partners, and only for hardware and software we genuinely trust. We lean heavily on open source, because open source is audited by the community. More eyes on the code means fewer places for problems to hide. It is not a perfect system, and recent events remind us that nothing is bulletproof, but transparency is still the best defense we have, and we believe in it deeply.
The past week has been painful for a lot of people in this community, and my heart goes out to everyone affected. If anything, it is a sobering reminder for all of us who build in this space. Due diligence is a discipline that never ends.
We are trying to build something different here. Something more deliberate. Our brand and our business only exist because the Bitcoin community has put their trust in us, and we do not take that lightly. We are genuinely grateful for it. Every order, every kind word, every person who tells a friend about us, it means more than you know.
We will keep doing our due diligence. We will keep saying no when no is the right answer, even when it costs us, and we will keep working every day to earn the trust you have placed in us.
