The “issue” that is jeopardizing Fury-Joshua is Dana White’s involvement, multiple sources told @SInow. @Turki_alalshikh, who is bankrolling the fight, wants him as a promoter. AJ and Eddie Hearn don’t, and have a contract that says Zuffa can’t be. Fight very much in peril.

People wondered if the city was going to actually recover to be the city that they grew up and knew and loved and if it would ever be the same. There was uncertainty. And not that the football team playing one game cemented that, but it gave people hope. The NFL felt strongly enough about bringing the Saints back and putting that game on a national, global platform, Monday Night Football. They were investing. If they were investing in the city, then it gave people reason to also invest. If the Saints are going to be back and the NFL is going to be a part of this, then I can come back and rebuild my home.

Columbus is s not a small campus town, and yet he's going to have to drive to Marysville or some shit.

I miss Steve Sabol so much.
His passing came in what I consider the golden era of sports media, when a lot of good stuff was happening and the fear of the cable bubble bursting had not yet been realized.
Sports media is very different today and NFL Films has made a massive transition (successfully, I might add) to adapt. I don't know if Steve would have enjoyed adapting NFL Films to today's media climate.
'NFL Films Presents' felt like a personal relationship with him. I was always very much at peace watching this show.
He was a great storyteller and interviewer, and there is so much about the NFL that I learned from him on that show.
Since his passing, I'm not sure anyone has really filled that void. He was truly one of a kind.

Lane Kiffin took a not-so-subtle shot at the SEC 9 game schedule during Wednesday’s teleconference. He and I spoke briefly afterwards and he explained why.
A graphic shared in a group text among SEC coaches illustrated the inequities in scheduling among conferences.
“(The nine game schedule) was a poor decision,” Kiffin told me.
Texas has 7 remaining games against ranked opponents. Kiffin pointed out a Big 12 school with one ranked opponent and an ACC school with none.
“I understand money was involved for TV contracts, but where does that get you when you just add totally different schedules than anyone else plays?”

OK, this is wild: I’ve confirmed that this video — that used AI to change the race of the creator below then turned it into a Kalshi ad — is real.
A Kalshi rep says the ad is old and that they no longer use AI-generated ads.
Kalshi is also “reviewing our relationship with” with the agency that made it.
Unclear right now what agency was behind this, what methods they used and exactly how many people were AI-manipulated to be another identity so synthetic versions of themselves could become Kalshi promoters without their knowledge and consent, but I’m looking into it.

When I first moved from the Bay Area to Columbus, there were no direct flights.
Southwest did an Oakland-to-Columbus flight for a little bit, but it went away.
United has intermittently done a SFO to CMH flight, but it's gone away a few times.
Of late, it's been nice to see that there are now 2 nonstop flights a day in both directions, especially as my parents are getting older.

Fox’s thoughts on the matter
FWIW- Oklahoma cited their dislike for Big Noon as a reason for leaving the Big 12.
Fox wants to squeeze every dollar. I don’t get the feeling they care much/factor in fan, school, and conference feedback to their decisions.
There should be a rule to not have to host BIG Noon for back to back weeks.
No one wants Gus to call an OSU game anyways, and he clearly doesn't want to either.
