If you actually shoot 2 matches a month and dry fire for a few minutes a day for a year, you will become a better shooter than 90% of people who have been shooting for decades.

One of the dumber things you’ll hear in tactical training is that under stress we lose finger dexterity, so instead of pressing the slide release (supposedly a fine motor skill) we should rack the slide (a gross motor skill) on a slide lock reload.
The problem: both are fine motor skills.
Also, nobody has ever shown me a “gross motor skill” way to press the magazine release.
