Queen of typos but you’ll get my gist. IQ and mental competency tests should be required to vote.

New vaccine dropping. Not enough peasants died from the covid vaccine and the Trump family wants more pharma money.
Q: Are you concerned about the outbreak in Russia? Trump: I am. The pneumonia plague, if you call it. That's a disease we used to be able control. But somehow those microbes have gotten stronger and smarter. They're like an army. The germs have really become relatively stronger than they were, and things that used to work on pneumonia don't work as well anymore

My dream Gen X retirement community isn't a golf course or a luxury resort. It's a fully renovated 80s/90s shopping mall. Half the building is apartments. The other half looks exactly like the mall we grew up in. The Waldenbooks is now a massive library where you can spend hours getting lost in books. The food court is part of your meal plan, so you can grab an Orange Julius, a slice of pizza, Chinese food, or sit down for a proper meal at Shoney's whenever you want. The movie theater plays classics every night. The arcade is free and packed with Pac-Man, Galaga, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Donkey Kong, and every cabinet game we spent our allowance on. Sam Goody is still there. You can browse CDs, listen to Bowie, The Ramones, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, or whatever you love. They even host monthly dance nights for anyone who still remembers MTV when it actually played music. The Sharper Image has massage chairs you can reserve whenever your back reminds you that you're no longer 25. The pharmacy is still an Eckerds. Blockbuster is fully operational. You can rent movies, video games, and spend 30 minutes wandering the aisles before choosing something you'll probably fall asleep watching. There's an aerobics studio offering Tae-Bo, Richard Simmons, MTV's The Grind workouts, and every fitness craze we survived the first time around. There are fountains everywhere, a lazy river because we've earned it, and plenty of benches where people can sit and talk instead of staring at their phones. Every morning we go mall walking before the stores "open." Every evening we meet friends at the food court. No algorithms. No endless scrolling. No influencers. Just books, music, movies, arcades, friends, nostalgia, and the feeling that for a few hours, it's 1995 again. Honestly, I'd put my name on the waiting list today.

Per @HollyBullardFL‘s NGO @seminolecounty why would rather kill puppies than cut unnecessary admin positions.
Florida's shelter animals are counting on a vote they can't cast. If Amendment 3 passes, shelters like Seminole County's could lose their no-kill status. More healthy, adoptable dogs and cats would be put down simply because there aren't enough staff, food, or vet care to keep them alive until they find a home. If it can happen there, it can happen in your county too. They can't vote. You can.

Like so many accounts on here, this account is trash. Pushing bullshit to generate anger.
1980: average new car ≈ $7,500 2026: average new car ≈ $50,000 Your parents weren't better with money. The math was just different.

A 102-year-old veteran went viral on social media after singing “God Bless America” at a Milwaukee Brewers game on Friday, September 11, 25 years after the 9/11 terror attacks. The crowd erupted in cheers and gave the World War II veteran a standing ovation after his performance.

“AI could kill all humans”…also, Anthropic is watermarking all outputs, including your content, to comply with the EU AI Act because “we don’t yet have a durable way to scope it by region.” 🤷🏼‍♀️
Jacob is correct here—we really do earnestly believe AI could kill all humans! I personally think it is >10% within the next decade. I believe Anthropic is trying its best, but we do not yet have a plan to solve alignment for superintelligence and are not clearly on track to.

The AI Race:
AI is probably the biggest prisoner’s dilemma we’ve ever created. Everyone knows slowing down might be safer. But if OpenAI slows down and Anthropic doesn’t, OpenAI loses. If the US slows down and China doesn’t, the US loses. So nobody slows down. That’s what makes this so insane. You don’t need some evil person trying to destroy the world. You just need a bunch of people making the rational decision for themselves over and over until collectively we’ve raced somewhere none of us actually wanted to go. It’s a race to zero. Zero cost of intelligence. Zero time between thinking and doing. Maybe eventually zero need for us at all.

Terry Schilling and Tucker’s other friends at APP are pushing socialism. They can ramble on all they want but it changes nothing.
In 1862 the U.S. government gave homesteads to enterprising settlers to encourage the growth of our country. That was not socialism. In 1944 the U.S. government subsidized education for veterans to economically bolster the post-war nuclear family. That was not socialism. In 1956 the U.S government funded federal campaigns to promote physical fitness in America's youth. That was not socialism. Sometimes the government uses its resources to promote important goods. The Trump admin's newly proposed childcare policy would end discrimination against stay-at-home parents and support families. That is not socialism. The traditional family is the foundation of our republic. Instead of sitting on our hands and watching the left tear down our most important political institution, we should be supporting, encouraging, and defending it. That is what Vice President Vance is proposing. And it's not socialism.

Roberts spent most of his career in academia. He did not join Heritage until 2021. Between academia and Heritage he worked for the Texas Public Policy Foundation focused on moving Texas policy toward populism. And here we are…
If the Child Care and Development Fund did not exist, we would be having a different conversation. But it does, so we ought to stop the program from discriminating against stay-at-home moms.
61
If I have to cover your bills then why should I not have a say on how you raise your kids?
This is a severely misguided understanding of parenthood. Vance's policy doesn't pay people to be bums, it rewards families for putting our nation's future first. Mothers and fathers are our nation's greatest asset. Period. What possible good could come from failing to support and champion them? x.com/TomiLahren/status/2096…

So old people need to get off the social security they paid into and get back in the workforce so the govt can give money to people, who pay little or no taxes, to stay home and this is in addition to the child tax credits
🚨 BREAKING: Republican Congressman Mike Collins signals his intent to end Social Security: "[Old people need to] get off of Social Security [and] get back into the workforce."
57
And this is why I left the GOP and became NPA. If I wanted to be a socialist I would have just joined the Democrat party not some weird cheap knock off.
Vice President Vance’s proposal to redirect existing subsidies toward married families is the kind of strategic policy conservatives should embrace. The welfare state already exists. The subsidies already exist. And conservatives do not have the votes to dismantle either. Until that changes, taxpayer dollars should reward family formation, not subsidize its decline. That is the conservative option.

Here comes the temper tantrums of the emotionally unhinged “sane” women wanting to sacrifice their rights because of ONE horrific incident. We do not need to repeal the 19th, just mandate an IQ and mental competency tests…that will take care of the crazy women like👇and MEN too.
All sane women right now: “maybe we SHOULD repeal the 19th,…”

Yeah, no shit man.... God this is why I hated every minute of working with the MIT/Harvard MBD crowd in tech. They're all like this. Zero understanding of what makes people tick and that's why they haven't solved a real human problem in god knows how long. We need to stop idealizing these people. They are good at a narrow band of work, which is fantastic, but they should not be running companies and/or influencing public policy.
OPENAI COFOUNDER SAYS EMOTIONS MAY BE WHY WE CAN MAKE DECISIONS ilya brings up a guy who lost emotional processing after brain damage. he could still talk normally and solve problems, but somehow became terrible at making basic decisions "It would take him hours to decide on which socks to wear." we spend so much time treating emotions like the annoying part of thinking. calm down, remove the feelings, be logical then you remove them completely and even choosing socks becomes a serious problem kinda changes how i look at AI advice too. it can give you 20 perfectly reasonable answers in seconds, but somebody still has to care which outcome actually matters you can understand every option and still not know which one matters to you
