It was a great time in the Bronx Wednesday night! I was happy to join Chair and Senator @jamaaltbailey and the @bronxdems at their gala in celebration of several incredible leaders who are bettering their communities.

The Bronx united is a force to reckon with. Incredible energy and purpose at the @bronxdems dinner last night with @KathyHochul, @jamaaltbailey and so many wonderful leaders.

I recently stood with @bronxdems, people of The Bronx, colleagues in government, and labor leaders to endorse my dear friend @ZohranKMamdani for Mayor! Many of the terrible things you hear about people in politics are unfortunately true, but none of them apply to Zohran. He is truly one of the most principled people I have ever met. Even in disagreements, I have known Zohran as someone who shows up with respect, kindness, and a genuine effort to understand in every interaction. This is why I am proud to call him a friend, and to support his candidacy for Mayor of New York City. (1/2)

BP's office told me that a scheduling conflict prevented Gibson from attending the press conference but added: “She wants to clear up any confusion – she stands with the Bronx Democratic County Committee in supporting Zohran Mamdani as the Democratic Nominee for Mayor.”
