my first time in NYC I went to a nice restaurant and complimented their bread when the chef stopped by my table, so he asked me if I was staying somewhere with an oven to crisp it up and gave me an entire bag to take home

One time I was at a cigar bar in Kyoto and the bartender served some Miyazaki mango and I was like this is the best mango that I've had in my entire life and then he just gave me extra mango for free T_T

I don't actually want to pollute the commons, but it would be an interesting piece of performance art to test how benign a proposal from someone objectionable would still enrage people, and what sort of arguments for why it was really bad they'd come up with

two long and pretty productive days but what I feel best about is helping someone carry their stuff down the stairs when a (false) fire alarm went off at the hotel yesterday and taking a sec to text the guy whose package mistakenly ended up at my building this morning
