Your social media workflow in one place ✨ Scheduling, publishing, analytics & content planning. This account is managed by real humans. πŸ’™

Worldwide
As of today, you can schedule Substack Notes alongside your other social channels in Buffer. πŸŽ‰ Notes are commonly where Substack writers are seeing growth, but they are also unplanned for many writers. Now with Buffer and Substack you can: β†’ Plan your Notes in advance and schedule them with the rest of your channels, in one place. β†’ See how many free and paid subscribers each Note brought in, so you know which writing converts. β†’ Track impressions and follows per Note alongside your other analytics. β†’ Turn a line from your latest newsletter into a Note. Substack Notes is available on every Buffer plan, including free. Writing on Substack? Drop your publication below, and we'll follow along.

We looked at 9.6 million Instagram posts to find the best times to post in 2026 β€” here are the times that tend to get the most engagement on each day of the week. As always, our caveats: These are starting points, not rules, and timing won't make or break your post in the way that the quality of your content will.

Next week, the whole Buffer team is stepping away from our usual work for Build Week! πŸŽ‰ It's a tradition we started in 2022, at a point when our growth had flattened out and we'd spent a long stretch protecting what already worked instead of building new things. So we cleared the calendar for a week and everyone made something. We ran it again in 2023, and it's back next week, August 17 to 21.

We're hiring a Senior Infrastructure Engineer ☺️ This person will join the small team that runs the platform every Buffer engineer ships on, which indirectly supports the millions of creators and small businesses who rely on Buffer every day. You'll own the systems that keep Buffer running and shipping: production reliability, fast and safe deploys, and the internal tools our engineers use every day. It's a deep infrastructure role with real ownership and real impact. If you treat infrastructure as a product with users, and you've felt the difference between code that ships and code that gets used, this one is for you. 🌍 Fully remote (we prefer around 4 hours of overlap with EMEA) πŸ“… 4-day work week πŸ’° $164.5K – $212.7K USD + equity

Ok @hidingelephant is very cool 🐘 It's an AI design workspace built by designers, for designers. The founder came from motion design, loved AI's speed but hated how little control it gave him, so he built what he wanted: image + video generation with proper vector tools and precision editing. They built on the Buffer API, so once a design's done, you publish it straight to your social channels. No exporting necessary.

Thanks for sharing, Gene! I think we've got to the bottom of this one. When a second channel is added after you've already started writing, Buffer splits the post into a separate version for each network. So once they're split, edits you make to the original won't always carry across to the second channel's copy. I've attached a recording. Could this be what happened here, Gene? Would you mind letting me know if it happens again? - Mel

Same hook, different platforms = different results. Each one rewards a different signal. LinkedIn: "see more" clicks + comments TikTok: watch time + replays Threads/X: replies over likes Instagram carousels: swipes + saves (pro tip: IG resurfaces failed posts starting from slide 2 β€” treat it as a second hook) Your hook has to play nicely with what the platform wants to happen next.

A bad hook almost guarantees your content goes unnoticed. A good one isn't luck. It's four things working together: 1️⃣ Format: text vs video vs carousel 2️⃣ Platform: LinkedIn β‰  TikTok β‰  Threads 3️⃣ Psychology: why we stop scrolling 4️⃣ Algorithm: what it wants to see happen next Miss one, you leave the rest to chance.

Buffer's API is here. One API. Ten social platforms. ⚑ Publish and schedule social posts from your own backend or automation stack. πŸ”Ž GraphQL, so you query exactly what you need, nothing more. πŸ–₯️ A CLI that lets you or your coding agents interact with Buffer's API without leaving the terminal. πŸ”‘ OAuth is fully managed, so building third-party integrations doesn't mean inventing your own auth pattern. πŸ€– An MCP server, so AI agents like Claude can draft, schedule, and manage your queue directly. πŸ”— Integrates seamlessly with no-code automation tools like Zapier, n8n, and IFTTT. πŸ› An interactive playground to test GraphQL queries and see results in real time. πŸ†“ Available on all plans, even free
