I was told posting consecutively for 200 days is not going to be easy and I almost backed out. In a couple of weeks, we'd have spent 200 days this year already. I didn't start back then but I am starting now! This is Day 1/200 days of show up challenge with @gabbytech01. 1/2

Day 82 of #200daysofcybersecurity. There isn't one security architecture that works for every organization. The tools and security controls an organization chooses depend on things like: • Business goals • Risk tolerance • Regulatory requirements • The threats they face 1/2
Day 81 of #200daysofcybersecurity. When a security tool raises an alert, it doesn't automatically mean there's a real threat. There are four possible outcomes: True Positive: An alert was raised and there was actually a threat. False Positive: An alert was raised, but 1/2

Two organizations can have completely different security setups and both be making decisions that fit their environment. What works for one organization may not necessarily make sense for another. 2/2

20-year-old Cybersecurity graduate from Nigeria. 🎓 My interests sit around Cloud Security, DevSecOps, AI Security, threat intelligence, defensive security and cloud-native systems. Over the past few years, I’ve earned certifications including AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft SC-200, ISC2 CC and the Google Cybersecurity Certificate, alongside multiple internships and hands-on security projects. My final-year thesis focused on securing cloud-based LLM applications. I developed a risk assessment model, tested 35 attack scenarios across LLM, RAG, cloud infrastructure and application layers, and developed 14 hardening controls. I’m now looking to take things further through a fully funded Master’s, scholarships, fellowships, and meaningful opportunities in cybersecurity. If you know of opportunities I should look into, I’m always open to a pointer, introduction or a conversation. RTs appreciated. ❤️
Ibrahim A. Yusuf, GMCPN B.Sc. (Hons.) Cybersecurity 🎓 Pioneer President, NACSS UNIOSUN 24/26 1st Assembly Member, Faculty of Computing SRC Failed a course in 100L. That one hit different. The kid who had always found school easy suddenly had to question himself. I set out to become a 4-pointer and eventually did. Then somehow, university became certifications, multiple internships, projects, late nights, and a leadership journey that took me from the Faculty SRC to becoming NACSS’ pioneer President. I tried to make NACSS bigger than just UNIOSUN too, spearheading the first attempt at connecting cybersecurity students across institutions for knowledge sharing and collaboration. Four years later, there’s a lot to look back on. Grateful for everyone who stood by me through it all. Goodbye, UNIOSUN. ❤️🎓

there was no real threat. False Negative: There was a real threat, but the security tool didn't detect it. True Negative: There was no threat, and no alert was raised. Understanding these four helps security teams know what their tools are catching & what they might be missing.

This weekend, I’ll be joining Utiva for a conversation on the topic “Is Cybersecurity Actually the Highest-Paying Tech Skill?” We’ll be discussing practical perspectives and insights around cybersecurity careers, earning potential, and the opportunities available within the industry. This session is for people looking to break into cybersecurity, exploring where they fit within the field, or thinking about their next career move ✨ Here is the link to register 👇🏾 utiva.io/events/cybersecurit…

1. Identify: Know what assets, systems & activities need monitoring. 2. Collect: Gather logs, alerts & other security data. 3. Analyze: Look for unusual activity, vulnerabilities & potential threats. 4. Respond: Investigate and take action when something requires attention. 2/3
