Probably the best explanation of how casinos work I've ever seen.

Best chance you have in Vegas is to place as few bets as possible and leave if you get ahead. Need to take advantage of short term variance if it hits. Law of large numbers, you cannot win in the long run.

Actually, the real way casinos work is if you win multiple times they they take you to the back and ether beat you up and don't give you your money, or they just don't give you your money.

This is the way the degenerate gambler works. In 2012 I drove to Vegas from San Diego with $900. Made $1500 playing blackjack. Next day as I was heading to the parking lot to drive back to SD, I stopped by the table… and I later drove home with 0. Longest drive of my life

I met this ridiculously cute Polish chick at a bar near Snoqualmie, Washington, around 2010-ish, who had just lost her job and was nearly out of money. I told her, "Let's go have fun for one night. We'll go to a casino, and I'll give you a bit of money to see if we can win you something." She had never been to a casino, so I took her around, explained all the games, and gave her $200. She picked roulette. I asked her what her lucky number was, and she said 17. So she put $20 on black 17 and nailed it on the first roll. I think it was like $700. Right after she hit, she looked at me and said, "I think we should stop while we're ahead." Never been more attracted to a woman. We legit turned around and walked out of the casino right after that. She tried to give me all the money, but I told her to keep the winnings, and she could give me back the $200 if she wanted to, which she did. We ended up hanging out for a couple of days after that. Easily one of the best trips of my life.

You gotta go in with a few hundred and when you hit your first win, quit. It's the ONLY way to play and even then, sometimes, you'll never get that win. It's a losing fight. But yeah, go in with 200$, walk out with $240 and go get a free lunch.

This reminded me of the time I went to a casino with my friend and someone tried to hit on me when I was intoxicated. He asked me what he should bet money on and I said red. I did not realize he lost about $20,000 that night and my friend gave me a concerned look. We both ran.

Can I get the version of this where it’s just 0:14 by itself with the audio?

The odds of hitting 17 black on roulette, that many times, I have no clue, but it's a big number.
