The public has a right to understand why they can’t walk anywhere without being harassed, followed and assaulted by vagrants, why our kids can’t go to the public library anymore, why the buses are not safe to ride, why 50x repeat offenders are released back to the streets where they stalk and expose themselves to female UT students, why an innocent trip to the fountains with your kids turns into an emergency escape mission because a homeless man was masterbating outside the restroom, why every crime category is up and continues to climb, why criminals are constantly released back into the public while your DA spends our tax dollars prosecuting the police who are trying to do their jobs. It’s OUR city and we deserve better than divisive virtue signaling from our leaders who just use cherry picked incidents that fit their narrative in order to create campaign clips and visibility.

No one in the city’s current leadership should ever talk about our right to feel safe. They’ve done the exact opposite at all turns.
