Day two of the 3rd Annual Mombasa Health Research Conference featured an insightful keynote address by Dr. Anisa Mburu, who delivered an in-depth presentation on the HPV Vaccine and its vital role in the prevention of cervical cancer. She explored the underlying causes of the disease, challenged persistent myths and misconceptions surrounding the vaccine, and emphasized the urgency of continued advocacy to increase uptake. Dr. Anisa highlighted how low awareness and misinformation have significantly contributed to vaccine hesitancy, stressing the importance of equipping healthcare providers and communities with accurate information. Her presentation served as a strong call to action for stakeholders to work collaboratively to ensure that no girl is left unprotected against cervical cancer.
Building on these insights, a
