People have been going in rounds shitting on any artist that isn't selling their work for 2 cents and a hotdog. Majority of people who actually commission art wouldn't jump on someone just bc their prices are out of their budget. Ignore it and move on if you can.

I think it’s pretty overpriced for me personally but if people are buying and it’s working for you, that’s just good business. No need to lower prices if it works lol.
Here's why:
1. professional anime style artists of all time charge about a max of 600. You're grossly overpricing. Some can get into a bit over 1k, but it's rare.
2. Your style is incredibly AI looking.
3. It's just not a reasonable cost.
dumb people have the loudest voices- ignore em! you've inadvertently (just unfortunately for you,) started a great discourse on artists being paid fairly for their work + insights into a real painting process. I would just get offline for a while tbh for your sanity!

i feel like when you’re a twitter artist, no matter how skilled you are, people will see you as a small niche community artist, and don’t expect you to charge professional prices for your professional level work

I can't see any other reason, I wouldn't personally pay anywhere near this much for an illustration, but if you attract clients who will, more power to you? Lol.
Commision pricing has always been a demand thing rather than some 'inherent worth' of a drawing anyway.
cuz this is NOT worth 4500, I've seen the equivalent of the MONA LISA by my oomfs and a couple of amazing artists, and they charge less. Don't you think 4500 dollar per piece is a bit too much?
For $4500, that's 2.5 months of rent & utility/bills with cheap food and it probably takes longer to draw such a piece. Imagine being able to live off of you know.. full time work. Would be nice!!
A good third of this discourse is porn addicts thinking that watching porn all day and following porn artists makes them like art critics and analysts believing that zooming in to every cm2 of your posts is a real analysis.
