People who lead the faithful astray with feminine images of God had better watch out, lest God fall upon them like a mother bear robbed of her cubs (Hos 13:8).
We oppose this not because women are outside the Imago Dei, but because depicting God as feminine when He exclusively presents Himself as masculine is an attempt to undermine His authority. Just as the the most "minor" sin begets death, no "minor" mockery of our Lord is tolerable
