On Friday in Parliament a DA person will most likely be sworn in as speaker. The iFP president Velenkosini Hlabisa will most likely be the 2nd deputy president. The DA it seems generally wants more of an oversight role in government. Most importantly the size of the cabinet will be REDUCED, The ANC-DA and IFP have only one presidential candidate, Cyril Ramaphosa Government of National Unity loading , led by President Cyril Ramaphosa

The world's largest #copper miner faces significant challenges: Codelco is now paying the price - along with the Chilean government - for prioritizing payments to government coffers while deferring investment in overhauling depleted mines. As recently as 2016, the company projected that its average annual production would rise to 2.1 million tons by 2040. That forecast has been slashed to about 1.6 million tons. If you held Transaction Capital (TCP) at the close of trade yesterday, my understanding is that you will receive 0.32678 WBC for every 1 TCP share held. Comments from FNB: WeBuyCars (WBC) is listing at R18.75 implying a market cap of R7.8 billion. Transaction Capital (TCP) will own 61.44% just before listing, with R4.8 billion attributable to the group. Based on (9th April closing price) for TCP of R9.80, WBC contributes R6.11 to the TCP valuation and the share price will therefore fall to R3.70 tomorrow – all else being equal. We still think there is value in TCP and WBC post unbundling – our fair value for WBC is R23.97 and for TCP it is R7.00 (with Nutun making up the bulk of the valuation). This means that our fair value for TCP immediately before the unbundling (today) is R13.12.

There is huge demand for LNG to replace liquid fuel in retail space. Any developing country, no matter how poor, pays dearly for liquid fuel (LPG, HFO, diesel, gasoline). OK, so now we have finally it: Against a target of 65% set by the DPE Minister and Chairman of Eskom at the time for the financial year ending 31 March 2024, the EAF actually achieved by Eskom for the 2024 financial year was 54.68%; the EAF for the last month of the 2024 financial year (March 2024) was 54.63%; and the EAF for the last week of March 2024 was 57.34%.
