#UPDATE The National Prosecuting Authority has withdrawn charges of possession of dangerous drugs against Bellarmine Chatunga Mugabe before plea.
His lawyer, Simbarashe Mukwekwezeka, said Mugabe was driving a vehicle without number plates when he picked up his friend, Max Mugaba, on his way to a barbershop.
“Unbeknown to him, his friend allegedly had 72 grammes of mbanje in his bag. They were stopped by police officers who noticed the unregistered vehicle which they were driving.
“Their vehicle was searched, resulting in the alleged discovery of the drugs,” the lawyer said.
Prosecutors are proceeding with their case against Mugaba.

This is a rather disingenuous take. The majority in our country can't afford to use air as a form transportation, so yes, in our context for most people it's not a kombi. Just cause you are in the tax bracket that makes it a kombi to you, doesn't mean it's universal.
