🤬🤬😤My wife takes her 2023 RAV4 to the dealership for a recall service. This was for an airflow sensor After finishing they come out and tell her that her horn isn’t functioning and that it would be $145 to diagnose the issue + labor and parts to repair Mind you she knows for a fact that the horn worked this morning The techs specifically said “we checked all the connections and so it’s not that” I told her to decline and bring it home Mind you this is so unlikely to be anything other than a fuse or the fact that they unplugged it and forgot to plug it back in or worse, straight up scamming After testing the fuse and the relay, as well as the clock spring, I take the radiator cover off to inspect the plugs at the horn and what do you know both horns are unplugged The airflow sensor is nowhere near these plugs so there’s zero chance these were taken off as part of the job not to mention they said they “checked the plugs” It’s also impossible they both happen to vibrate loose @Toyota I buy a brand new car from you and this is how you treat us?? This was at Toyota of Santa Cruz Stealership @SantaC_Toyota

I have just completed what I believe to be the most comprehensive evaluation of Charlotte NC arrest records in history. This project has taken me 3 months to complete, combing through over 50,000+ arrest records and mugshots. I've found what appears to be massive fraud. Thousands of Hispanics have been labelled as "WHITE CAUCASIAN" in the arrest records... THOUSANDS. In fact, I found over 500 cases where Hispanics who were arrested more than once... had their "Ethnicity" CHANGED from "Hispanic" to "Caucasian" from one arrest to another. Horrifyingly, I found HUNDREDS of these "White Caucasians" were actually ILLEGAL ALIENS from foreign countries with ICE detainers. Perhaps most disturbing... Many of the illegal aliens who were labelled as "WHITE CAUCASIAN" had already been released back into the public, DESPITE the ICE detainer requesting they stay in prison. We have a serious problem.

A mother and her three children were stranded far out at sea as rough ocean waters kept pushing them farther and farther from shore. With no phone, no way to call for help and the water getting worse, she realized they couldn’t all just wait and hope someone found them. So she made an impossible decision and told her 13-year-old son, Austin, to leave them behind and try to make it back to shore alone. Austin started out in an inflatable kayak, but the waves kept filling it with water until he was forced to abandon it. Then, realizing his life jacket was slowing him down, he took it off and began the long swim to shore, battling cold, choppy water for nearly four hours. When he finally made it to shore, he collapsed from exhaustion. But even then, he forced himself back up and kept moving until he found help, knowing every minute mattered for the family he had left behind. By the time rescuers found his mother, brother and sister, they had been in the water for around 10 hours and had drifted nearly 9 miles offshore. All three were rescued alive. Austin Appelbee was just 13 years old when he swam for nearly four hours to get help for his family. That’s the kind of young hero the internet should be talking about.

🚨TILLIS: "Are you a conspiracy theorist?" RFK JR: "That is a pejorative that is applied to me mainly to keep me from asking difficult questions. I was told that I was a conspiracy theorist for saying that COVID vaccines wouldn't prevent transmission, now they admit it. I was called a conspiracy theorist because I said red dye causes cancer, now the FDA acknowledges it. I was called a conspiracy theorist because I said fluoride lowers IQ, now they have published a study showing a inverse correlation. I can go on for a week."

What a tremendous story of grit and determination.
Jacob Rodriguez was born in Hastings, Minnesota. His family moved to Texas when he was ten. He played quarterback at Rider High School in Wichita Falls. He went to the University of Virginia and spent his freshman year as a utility guy. Ten carries. Eight catches. Not a starter at anything. Then the head coach stepped down and Rodriguez went into the transfer portal, late, after most of the spots in college football were already gone. Texas Tech said yes. But there was no scholarship left, and there was nowhere for him to live. Here is what he did about that, in his own words. "It was so late. I didn't have a place to stay. There were no scholarship spots, and so, luckily, my brother went to school there, and so I slept on the ground next to his bed for a semester and earned that scholarship spot later on." He slept on his brother's floor for a semester. And Texas Tech moved him to linebacker, a position he had never played. Think about what that actually asks of a person. He had spent his entire life with the ball in his hands, reading defenses. Now he was the defense, learning it from nothing, against people who had been doing it since they were children. Year one, 29 tackles. Year two, an injury cost him most of the season and he played five games. Year three, 127 tackles. Year four, 128 tackles, 11 for loss, 4 interceptions and 7 forced fumbles, and he was a unanimous All American. Then the awards came in and they all had his name on them. The Chuck Bednarik Award. The Butkus Award. The Lombardi Award. The Bronko Nagurski Trophy. No player in the history of Texas Tech had ever won any of those. He won all four in the same year. He finished fifth in the Heisman Trophy voting, which was more votes than any defensive player in the country got. The Miami Dolphins took him 43rd overall. On Sunday he played the Kansas City Chiefs. He intercepted Patrick Mahomes. He tackled Kenneth Walker behind the line of scrimmage three separate times. He is now one of the betting favorites for NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year. As of this week he sits at plus 400, a hair in front of David Bailey at plus 450, who used to line up next to him at Texas Tech. Now the honest part, because it matters. Miami lost that game 24-10 and the Dolphins are 0-3. Nobody is handing out awards in September, and a rookie on a losing team is a long way from anything. One more thing about him. His wife Emma is an aviation officer in the United States Army. She flies Black Hawk helicopters. Four years ago he was a former high school quarterback with no scholarship and no apartment, sleeping on the ground beside his brother's bed in Lubbock.

Just spoke to USC play by play voice Pete Arbogast for our pregame show Saturday. Asked him if he sees the hit on Dante Moore differently than he did Saturday: "Oh for sure. He came in late....I didn't see any of the taunting....I wasn't looking at it because I was watching Dante. I got the call wrong. It's not the first time and it probably won't be the last time."

This man is a hero. Captain Smit Machchhar, the Indian captain of flydubai Flight 1073, fought back after being stabbed in the cockpit. Despite being severely injured, he managed to unlock the cockpit door - allowing Israeli passengers and the Emirati crew to intervene and save all the passengers. Together, their extraordinary courage saved 174 lives. Indian. Israeli. Emirati. Different nationalities. One extraordinary act of courage. 🇮🇳🇮🇱🇦🇪 We wish Captain Machchhar a full and speedy recovery.

Be Case Keenum. > Grow up in West Texas. Two-star recruit. One scholarship offer. > Take it. Rewrite the NCAA record book at Houston. > Marry your high school sweetheart, the girl you took out for snow cones before any of this started. > Go undrafted anyway. > Spend your rookie season on the practice squad. > Get cut. Get claimed. Get traded. Start over. > Get your chance in Minnesota when the starter gets hurt. > Throw the Minneapolis Miracle. > Help take the Vikings within one win of the Super Bowl. > Keep moving after that, too. > Eight franchises. Different jerseys. Different playbooks. Another chance to prove you belong. > Through all those moves, keep building a life with the girl. > The girl from the snow-cone date becomes the mother of your two children. > Spend years preparing for opportunities that rarely come. > Go 1,009 days without a start. > Keep showing up. Keep doing the work. Stay ready. > Then, at 38, get the call. Chicago needs you. > Walk onto Monday Night Football. > Throw two touchdowns. Run for another. Beat the Eagles 27–7. > Do it with both your kids watching you play in person for the first time. > Finish the night on SportsCenter with your little girl beside you. All those years. All those moves. All those Sundays waiting for a chance. And when this one finally comes, you fucking crush it with your kids looking on. Imagine what that feels like. There are a lot of ways to teach your children to keep going. Letting them watch you do it has to be one of the best. Absolute legend! 🫡

youtube.com/live/kksyF7fy1gc… #debate What a fascinating view to watch a college dropout and comedian, @scrowder absolutely destroy one of the top tenured @Harvard professors. In his opening statement? The professor freudian slips and says Reagan is the biggest threat to private institutions. He went downhill from there.

The NFL for some reason decided to play a game in the third world shit hole of Brazil and the crowd thanked them by booing the national anthem. What an absolutely embarrassing, shameful display.
Community note
Brazilians did not boo the US national anthem, as shown in multiple videos from people at the stadium. The crowd was mostly quiet. x.com/ade_dennis/sta… x.com/ryanmink/statu…

That is very similar to Oregon linebacker Jackson against Oklahoma state, running down QB DREW M
This dude, #4, ran 95 yards to make this tackle. That is hustle!
