Sept 30th 25...Norfolk UK (53degsN) When the skies clear right before she pops... could see the build up right from dark, with a green horizon right across the North into NW... Typically skies cleared fully but didnt produce colours or beams quite like this until early hours...

Bullseye! Our Sun finally aims straight, launching a big solar storm directly at Earth. Impact: Early October 9 UTC time. This is the best coronal blast wave I've seen in a long time. Kudos to @HaloCME for the analysis despite being on the mend. Please help me wish an esteemed colleague and SDO/AIA team member a speedy recovery!

A gorgeous eruption (accompanying a coronal wave) associated with an M1.4 flare from AR 14549. The CME may be Earth-bound for 9-Oct arrival. Personal note: I have been hospitalized since 15-Sep. I think the most critical phase has passed, and look forward to come back soon.
