Throughout history everyone thought there would be no more things to solve. Humans have proven that wrong. I don’t really subscribe to the idea of a “solved” world. Seems too utopian. Massive progress? yes absolutely.

The first skill is to generate ideas. Good, bad, mediocre... just have ideas. Then articulate them.
So everyone's excited about this "research", but it's not research.
It's an opinion piece from an investment firm.
And the big conclusion is that software engineers need to become software engineers:

Story telling and movie-making techniques had evolved quite a bit since the original SW when the prequels finally came out. And it didn't feel like the writers of these movies really understood that.
Darth Maul (the red faced dude here) was the face of this movie in all the marketing, but appears in the movie for about 6 minutes with three lines of dialogue.
In retrospect, however, we really had no idea how bad things would become... (except Rogue One and Andor).

It's better because it doesn't ramble on pretentiously. It doesn't make assumptions about what you mean. It doesn't lecture you about something you never said. It doesn't use 10k tokens to say something that could be said in a few sentences.
It's just a helpful assistant. Like Claude used to be.
It doesn't matter if a model such as Grok 4.6 is cheaper if we don't get as much value from the subscription.
And I have yet to hear someone say that SuperGrok Heavy for $300 gives more value than Codex or Claude do for $200.
If you can, stand up and say so please.
Even now, when SuperGrok Heavy now features Cursor Ultra worth $200 on top of X Premium+ plan, it's a mystery.
Because how much Grok we get in Cursor Ultra? Again, no idea.
And new $100 SuperGrok plan? Who knows.
So... it's good to know Grok 4.6 is awesome and mighty.
But what matters more is... is it worth it?

All the mentions of Composer 3 got quiet a longer time ago already.

Sometimes we do, sometimes we don't. I think it's a function of age at the moment. We used to every night. But now if we eat dinner and watch a TV show and one of us falls asleep then that's where that person is sleeping. Our couch was bought with this in mind.
The data of sleeping with your partner is mixed. Some sleep better while others do not.
