I’m in Bronkhorstspruit this afternoon to check on progress to restore water to residents in Bronkhorstspruit and surrounding areas. Rand Water and the City of Tshwane have completed the cleaning of reservoirs. They’ve also continued to push water through hydrants while we wait for test results from water samples. We expect these results will be released soon. In the meantime, we advise that residents should not drink or use the water streaming through the system. The water should only be used for flushing the toilet. The City will communicate once test results confirm that the water is compliant. I’m happy to report that we are one step closer to restoring water supply in Region 7. @CityTshwane
