just as high level languages help us code better - there's less to think about, it will be the same for AI. Why reach for ASM when you can use Rust - there's so much more that can go wrong. By this logic AI will also forego testing because they have so much intelligence to just reason through it.
Rust is a good prompt compilation target for the moment, but so is C++. And soon assembler. Then microcode. Myopic to think we're going to stop the agentic drill bit until it reaches computing bedrock.

this is the way moving forward, it is always like you run several product feature sprints, then spend 1 sprint for technical debt, refactoring; the different is now a sprint can be a day, not 2 weeks like the past

- it works, ship it
- few months later you'd realize it was bad
- you'd refactor it
- repeat
not sure much has changed. you can produce a lot of code now but you can also refactor a lot of code

Jev may have its (narrow) use cases but the hype you see around is the perfect representation of the fact the greatest part of the AI bubble don't know what is important and what is not. Jev is a minor thing happening on AI compared to all the rest, yet the hype exploded.

I am done with this shit. It is over. The state of engineering right now is horrible. It has been half a month since I started a new role at a big company. Nobody knows anything here. The specs, code, tests, PRDs, tickets, resolution of those tickets, reports, etc., everything is made by Claude Code. Nobody on my team likes this. They are being forced to ship as much as they can. I have heard multiple times from higher management that pushing code is not a bottleneck, so why are we slow? People are working 12 to 13 hours a day just to press enter. Nobody is reading anything. Humans in corporate are doing nothing on their own. Everyone, literally everyone, from an L1 to an L7 engineer here is doing the same thing. Talk to Claude. There is no sense of victory. Nobody is resolving bugs. In reality, nobody is thinking anymore. Everything is done by LLMs. It is so soul-sucking. I would not mind it, to be honest, if we were at least given the time to check out the code and see what is going where. But no, the goal is to just ship. No matter what happens.
