now that the entries are closed,
here's the app that i built for the @commonsmade hackathon called "waiting for AI"
i thought to myself, what would i want to see while waiting for an AI model to complete my task?
it had to be something easy to digest, a visual experince that doesn't interrupt the creative flow.
if i had made something interactive, asking the user "do this, do that, click here" that carried the risk of interrupting the flow state, which you don't want when you're trynna build something. you want to help the user maintain the creative flow, and feed visual cues to him.
you want something that's easy to digest, doesn't require any extra effort from the user, and inspires them when they're stuck
you see the pieces jointing together to create something out of nothing
the shape or the text underneath are customisable for future builds and can serve as inspiration. one simple visual element or word can spark entire ideas
simple, minimalistic, easy to watch over and over again

For the @commonsmade Hackathon I built RepRace 🏁
A lot of AI builders spend hours sitting in front of their screens waiting for AI to build, generate or finish a task which is bad for their health
So I built RepRace an app that turns AI wait time into a fitness challenge while your AI works.
Here is how it works:
You give AI a task while the AI is thinking, your camera tracks your squats in real time using pose detection.
Your rep count keeps climbing until the AI finishes its response.
The second the AI is done the race ends.
So instead of just staring at “AI is thinking” you put in the reps
