Indeed. I see no principles, still less independence of mind, at work in her calculations.
Her record speaks for itself: as council leader, she refused to sign the Palestine pledge, said Zionism isn’t racist, refused to attend Muslim hustings, backed an ex-IDF soldier’s elevation to Chief Whip, and derailed a divestment motion to stop it reaching a vote.
Now, when asked about her record on Palestine, she just awkwardly evades repeatedly calling it “that issue”.

Green Party leaflets in Holborn & St Pancras accuse Labour councillors in Camden of not being interested in signing a solidarity pledge with Palestine earlier this year.
I did ask the Labour candidate and council leader Sagal Abdi-Wali about how she felt about this claim – and she said she wouldn't let the issue be used to 'divide communities' and that she would be talking about Ed Miliband's work on the West Bank during her campaign. 'We're going in the right direction'.
