He thinks Vance or Rubio would "struggle" in 2028. This is the man who funded Vance's Senate campaign, and helped select Trump's political appointees. An insider is walking out. When someone like Thiel says this publicly, it is a signal to the donor class: the trade is over. The upside has been captured. Get out before the midterms. Every tech oligarch who followed Thiel into the MAGA orbit now could follow him out, except may be Elon. Vance is the biggest casualty. His political godfather just publicly hedged against him. Vance cannot criticize Trump because the MAGA base is all he has. He cannot embrace Trump's wars and corruption because normie voters are leaving. He is trying to hold the Groyper base together while the donor class, the suburbs, and the moderates walk away. His prospects look way bleaker than Kamala's did when she entered 2024. Thiel has always been better at reading structural shifts than sentiment. In 2016, he saw Trump could win when everyone laughed. In 2026, he sees the project has hit its ceiling. He is not leaving on principle but because the returns could turn negative.

What I have heard from professionals explaining why we have so many competitive races in red states boils down to R voters thinking of the president’s antics, “it’s not funny anymore.” They’re hurting financially due to seemingly capricious actions in the WH while he focuses on memes, arches, and revenge. That the bleeding is in red states means it’s troubling but also solvable. The voters have an inclination to support Rs. Candidates: Fight them to a draw on gas prices. Yes they’re high and that really sucks. But Republicans hate high gas prices! Republicans support energy dominance and maximum fossil-fuel development. These prices are the result of foreign activity; the Iranians and the Russians are causing these gas prices and we’re fighting them both. We’re opening up the oil fields of Venezuela. Democrats want high gas prices. They want you driving electric cars or paying a carbon tax that goes into a remediation fund that pays their activists to teach your kids about how whales are gay or something. Attack them on this! Talk about the Green New Deal. Ask them if they agree with climate lawfare. If gas prices are high, it’s the right time to talk about “climate change.” They want to talk about Iran; make them talk about global warming. If you’re a Senate incumbent vote on all available California-waiver CRAs next week. It is a tangible action you can take that will *actually lower gas prices*. The president can even sign the vessels-at-berth CRA before the elections! Thereby ending a multibillion dollar green import-export tax on all goods coming through CA ports. The President: Stop fighting about ballrooms and arches and whose name is where for a little while. Tell your trade people to figure out which tariffs are raising prices the most in red states and remove them. Declare victory in those trade wars. Do a televised address (scripted, no weaving) on the Iran conflict. Explain why you launched it and how you have achieved all your goals and are now ending it in victory. Most importantly, stick to this course until the elections. Don’t let the fake news goad you into reversing any of it. Make fun of *them* by serving tacos in the WH. You’ll have more than two years in which to settle scores starting on 11/5.

The point of their letter, besides offering unequivocal support, is to argue for policies around the workforce needs of new nuclear projects. They lay out a few specific demands for that. Can the Left be torn away from dead-end environmental nonprofits and renewables developers and instead align with the state's climate-focused labor unions when it comes to nuclear?

The Texan man— canvassing to advocate for Tom Tiffany— who slammed four BuzzBallz before driving, struck a bicyclist with his car, and ran away from the scene of the crime was a CONTRACTOR, not an employee, of a firm being paid millions by the PAC funded by the Uihleins. Crunch a benedryl up into some milk, get him to drink it.” She asks if she can take him to the vet. I say no, you know the rules. She pleads. She cries. I inform her of the price of Crofab, tell her no, just give him love and milk. If he dies, he dies and he went out being loved. If he lives he’ll be stronger for it. He’s a young happy healthy dog that got hit in the place with the most lymphatic tissue. She reluctantly agrees. His face and neck swole up for a couple of weeks but he was already acting normal by day 3. Now he alerts us to rattlesnakes with a high-pitched bark and we blow em away with a shotgun.
