When Rahul was sure he launched his CJP attack. In first attack he saw that some extreme upper caste bhakt were still out to support Modiji. So he slapped #ModiAct on swatantra bhardwaj. That alienated hard core upper caste bhakts too. Then Rahul Gandhi launched recent attack knowing well that now Modiji and BJP upper caste shield is completely removed. ECHS has issued fresh guidelines indicating that they are moving towards Aadhaar-based biometric authentication (fingerprint/iris) for availing medical facilities through the Beneficiary Satyapan Application. The intention to strengthen identity verification and prevent misuse is well understood and appreciated. However, at old age, a large number of veterans and their elderly dependents simply do not have usable fingerprints due to natural wear and tear, skin conditions, or age-related changes. Iris authentication may also not be feasible for everyone. If biometric verification is made compulsory without simple and practical alternatives, genuine senior beneficiaries will once again be forced to run around just to get treatment, the very people the scheme is meant to support.
