Alabama Man Arrested in Starkville, Held for Extradition

The Starkville Police Department arrested Stephen Shirley (41, West Blocton, Alabama) and charged him with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.
Shirley was approached by officers throughout the interaction he refused to identify himself.
During the investigation, officers learned Shirley is a registered sex offender and found he was wanted in Alabama for second-degree sodomy originating from Jefferson County, Alabama.
Stephen Shirley is being held at the Oktibbeha County Jail pending extradition to Alabama.
