I just want to speak from the heart for a minute because today has been a day full of attacks, not only against me, but against someone who became a true friend through this journey,
@cryptomumms.
There seems to be this idea that the people still here building for the
$TREAT 146b community are somehow the people who created this whole situation in the first place. That is simply not true.
I did not create or launch TREAT 146b. More than three years ago, an anonymous developer brought a community down a path none of us fully understood at the time. There were things happening back then that made people believe there could be something more to it. Even Shytoshi liked a post involving TREAT 146b back when likes were still publicly visible, and yes, I still have video proof of that. ShibaSwap even had us showing as a trending token at one point when, based on the volume we had, we couldn't understand why we were there.
People can look back now and say everyone should have known better, but hindsight is easy.
When Shiba Inu TREAT eventually came out, I was actually one of the people pushing back against the speculation. At that point I had a decision to make. Walk away from everyone who had been brought into this community, or stay and try to build something real for the people who were still here.
I stayed.
Not because I care about owning a name. I don't. There are tons of tokens across crypto that share names and tickers, so please stop using that as some kind of gotcha. I stayed because there were good people here who deserved more than being abandoned after everything that happened.
I've disagreed openly with people in this space before. I've challenged things right in the chat for everyone to see. I haven't hidden that. But disagreeing with someone doesn't mean I need to attack them personally, and it sure as hell doesn't mean people's families or children should ever be brought into this.
Say whatever the hell you want about me. Question what I build. Criticize my decisions. Call me whatever makes you feel better. But talking about someone's children "paying the ultimate price" because you don't like them on the internet is way beyond crypto bullshit.
And apparently because I didn't abandon everyone, because I kept building, because I didn't disappear when things got ugly, because I haven't made money from this and I'm still holding, somehow that makes me the scammer?
That logic makes absolutely no sense to me.
You know what I personally have a problem with in crypto? People who create tokens, surround them with recognizable names to give them credibility, keep communities hanging on little hints and speculation so they think they're going to be part of something bigger, and then sell into the same people who believed them. People who take tokens or money to promote projects without being transparent about it and then disappear when everything goes south. Communities being used as liquidity and then tossed aside when they're no longer useful.
That's where the anger should be directed. Not at the people who stayed behind trying to pick up the pieces.
Not at the people who refused to give up no matter what was thrown at them.
Not at the people who stuck around when it would have been a hell of a lot easier to disappear.
Not at the people still building through one of the roughest markets most of crypto has seen in a long time.
I already know this post won't change the minds of some people. They've made their minds up and no amount of building, proof or time is going to matter to them. That's fine.
I know where my heart is. I know what I've done and what I haven't done. And when I go to sleep at night, I'm comfortable knowing that I tried to do right by people instead of walking away from them when things got difficult.
And for everyone asking why I'm still The Dark Shib... because SHIB is still in my heart. SHIB is what brought me into this space. I still hold it, I still want to see it succeed, and I'll continue finding ways to include SHIB in what I build whenever it makes sense.
So if your solution is "change your name," tough luck, buttercup.
The attacks aren't making me disappear. If anything, they're giving me more fuel to keep building.
And one more thing... this whole post and everything that happened today actually inspired me to make a song out of it. Sometimes the best way for me to deal with the bullshit is to turn it into something. So yeah... "Wrong Target" came from this.
