If you're looking for Pitt to get right this week against Georgia Tech (I think they will), there are some stats that really stand out to me about the Yellow Jackets... • GT just gave up 399 rushing yards on defense to Boston College • GT was 2-of-11 on third down on offense For Pitt to win games, two things need to happen. 1. Establish a consistent run game 2. Get off the field defensively on third down It seems this is the perfect opponent to get right.

Everybody wants Pat Narduzzi fired right now. I’ve gotten a lot of comments asking how anybody can still support Narduzzi after 12 seasons. And I understand the frustration. I really do. But let’s consider the other side of this argument. What has Narduzzi actually accomplished at Pitt? Well, he won an ACC Championship. That wasn’t exactly a regular occurrence for this program. He also delivered another 9-win season just a few years ago. Before Narduzzi, Dave Wannstedt had one 10-win season, but things eventually fell apart and he was fired. Walt Harris had some good eight- and nine-win seasons, but Pitt never quite got over the hump. The eras of Todd Graham and Paul Chryst were absolutely terrible. Johnny Majors II was a tire fire. You basically have to go back to the early 1980s to find sustained success at a significantly higher level. The reality is that Narduzzi has accomplished as much as, if not more than, just about any Pitt coach in the last four decades. And that matters. Pitt isn’t Ohio State, Oregon, Texas, or Alabama. It doesn’t have unlimited financial resources, enormous NIL budgets, or the recruiting advantages those programs enjoy. That doesn’t mean Pitt fans should accept mediocrity. And it certainly doesn’t mean Narduzzi is above criticism. There are plenty of things I disagree with him about, and you can absolutely argue that the program needs a change. But if you’re going to make that argument, you also have to acknowledge what this program has historically been and what could happen after he’s gone. Because firing a coach is easy. Finding somebody who can consistently do better at a program like Pitt is a completely different challenge. Who out there can accomplish more than Narduzzi with fewer resources than almost every other P4 program? I’ve spent nearly 40 years watching Pitt football, and I’ve seen what some of the alternatives look like. That’s why I think this conversation deserves a little more perspective. Ultimately, I don’t think asking for a change is wrong. But I’m not sure the current circumstances merit a change considering this team would be 7-1 right now had the starting QB not torn up his knee.

Everyone already knows Mario / Miami are scumbag cheaters…. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļøšŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø Let’s see if Miami actually wins something before rules come back to college football… My guess is they won’t. šŸ˜†
Why is Miami upset that Pat Narduzzi publicly talked about something that happens all the time in college football? One of the strangest storylines from the Pitt-Miami game was Narduzzi revealing that Miami tried to poach Mason Heintschel last offseason. And apparently, Miami didn’t appreciate him talking about it. But here’s what I don’t understand. Why are we still pretending this stuff doesn’t happen? Programs are constantly trying to recruit players away from other schools. We saw it when Lincoln Riley pursued Jordan Addison at Pitt. Narduzzi called him out for that, too. And honestly, I wish more coaches would be willing to talk openly about what’s happening behind the scenes. I’m not even saying Miami was necessarily wrong to pursue Heintschel. College football’s current system allows programs to aggressively pursue talent, and Miami has certainly taken advantage of that environment. Look at Darian Mensah transferring from Duke. But if you’re going to participate in that system, why get upset when another coach talks about it? That’s the part I find ridiculous. And then we get the awkward postgame handshake between Mario Cristobal and Narduzzi, which only made the whole situation feel even stranger. I don’t think Narduzzi should have to pretend these things aren’t happening just to protect another program’s feelings. If this is how college football operates in 2026, let’s stop acting like it’s some big secret. You can pursue other teams’ players. But don’t be surprised when somebody publicly calls attention to it.

I recognize that my troll baiting is upsetting people who are not trolls. I cannot express to you how much I do it for amusement. Please don’t worry. I am so wrapped in love in my family, friendships, and community and I promise the trolls don’t change my positive attitude a bit.
