I still used to think if I did my undergraduate in schools like OAU where cultism were not pronounced on campus, I might not have left this club in 200L. But schooling in OOU back then, omoh! Some of those guyz were strong men.
The day I was shocked was when we did coronation of Chief Benson in 2010 or so inside Ago-Iwoye town hall. Chief Kenyamo was the outgoing chief. Prior to that day, we were told that taking alcohol as a Kegite member was like taking poison. But on the coronation night, I saw our fellow Karid entity taking alcohol and smoking weed. Na that day I know say my days are numbered in this place.
Even the other contestant for the chief that night, “Solution” was a known strong man on campus.
To make matters worse, my mama come hear say I did kegite, she came from Lagos to Ijebu. She said I don join “ẹgbẹ okunkun” As I was tryna explain say Kegite no be egbe okunkun, say na social club, say na we go dey settle issues between cultists (as we were told), na hm she give me one resetting slap, na the next day I go tell dem say I no do again. 😂😂
How do you people understand all this slang?
