Although I disagree with Dan on plenty of things, I have to agree with him on this, because he is saying just what I have read in the book of Exodus.
The one part of the Bible that explicitly addresses punishment for destruction of a fetus (against the mother’s will; Exod 21:22–25) treats it as a property tort punishable by a fine. Read your Bible better.
