On this week's episode of "I Own A Lot of Jethro Tull", we ask our panel of experts to name two different songs that have the same title. For Instance "Xanadu": Rush and ELO/ONJ. Here's an obvious one including my first rock and roll crush. youtu.be/CZyukTq1aNE?si=InXh… via @YouTube

3 years in, I've yet to hear anybody give anything close to an operational definition of "proportional response". It's a worthless chin-stroking platitude for all the mids out there. @wil_da_beast630

No lies detected.
Most nations, historically, would have annihilated Gaza after 10/7 - slaughtered every fighting man, destroyed every base of support for them, and pointed the broken survivors west to try to find mercy in Egypt. Today, we are expected to take media from the literal terror state which launched the war at face value, and blame the VICTIMS for a response which killed 2% of the aggressor's population. It almost cannot be over-stated how absurd this is. Prey morality, socialism, and similar philosophies are cancers based upon the exploitation of empathy - which spread through society like gray-green mold through bread, and occasionally must be cut out in the same way.

Love the Manningcast on MNF but how do you not have Drew Brees as a guest on the 20 yr. anniversary of the Domecoming?

"Anchors get the city money and regrant it." So, laundering.
Mamdani’s antisemitism plan doubles Partners Against the Hate to $6.4 million. One anchor in that program is the Arab American Association of New York. Anchors get the city money and regrant it. AAANY’s 2025 Form 990, Schedule I, is where it lists grants over $5,000. Same page: CAIR-NY, $57,779, PATH PROGRAM. JFREJ Community, $58,084, PATH PROGRAM. About $223,500 to CAIR-NY since 2021. About $222,000 to JFREJ over the same years. Every check labeled PATH. City anti-hate money, passed through AAANY. These are the regrants, not a new earmark. The rollout named @JCRCNY. The 990 names CAIR-NY. docs.candid.org/990/113/1136…

Yeah, maybe leave the dogs out of it.
A glimpse of where our country is right now: Two guys at a dog park get into a political argument about Trump. Each has a gun. They fire them. Lives are forever changed. If only the dogs were in charge. nytimes.com/2026/10/05/us/tr…

What a great photo!
Replying to @BarrySchust
I liked all four of these guys - probably cheered for Pruitt a little more than the rest. My personal favorite really good back was Lawrence McCutcheon

This old wind bag used to go on and on about millionaires. What happened?
California’s 5% billionaire wealth tax is THE most important ballot initiative in the country. At a time of massive income and wealth inequality, the billionaire class must start paying their fair share of taxes.

Never seen this. So cool.

Can't believe I've never seen this clip before. @ktca
Mary Tyler Moore was never meant to make this pool shot. In The Dick Van Dyke Show (65 today), Moore was supposed to take a swing, then cut away to a double who sinks the trick shot. Instead, she nailed it on her first try; their stunned reactions were completely genuine.

Checking in at my El Pollo Loco's surprisingly good muzak playlist: "The Lion Sleeps Tonight"... ugh. OK, here we go: "Breathless" - the Killer, the Lolipop song, "Funnel of Love"- Wanda Jackson, "Why Do Fools Fall in Love" and "I'll be Doggone" Marvin Gaye.

Hear me out: an app that instead of Big Pharma commercials during the game plays these old Miller Lite commercials. @BDaddyLiberator

I don't necessarily mind the day games but the 3-game series format is hot garbage. Ex: An 89 win Cubs team will be playing a best-of-three with all games in San Diego. All series should be a minimum of 5 games so each team gets at least 2 home games.
Major League Baseball putting Phillies-Braves at 2 pm et for three straight days on Tuesday, Wednesday and potentially Thursday truly sucks for normal working people and kids at school. You root for a team for 162 days and can’t watch the entire playoff series? Unacceptable.

Knuckle-dragging border hawk who lives in a border city, here: this was fantastic. Waltz-like tempo accentuated by the horns... hell, yeah. I'd rather spend a Sunday afternoon in Barrio Logan than South Park. IYKYK.
Yesterday, we had the opportunity to perform the United States National Anthem for the #NFL game between the #ChicagoBears and the #Eagles, and it was incredible to do so with love and respect for a great nation. However, a huge wave of racist criticism has emerged.

Wait... I saw a different music video for this same song, years ago. Iirc, it was a classroom setting. I gotta find it.

Ol' boy, here, unwittingly reminding us that no-strings free health care would require literal acts of God. You're doing great, buddy. @BDaddyLiberator
When Jesus healed the sick, he didn’t ask for a deductible. When he fed the hungry, he didn’t price gouge for a profit. When the Hebrew prophets saw corruption, they spoke truth to power. When I take on this corrupt system, I’m doing it on biblical grounds.

(Probably) The best thing you will see today. For those of you from Placentia, CA, Bruce Dickinson is the lead singer of heavy metal giants, Iron Maiden.
The Pittsburgh Steelers asked an Englishman to sing the American national anthem. Bruce Dickinson did it a cappella, no autocue, having never sung it before in his life. He held "free" for six seconds.
