created a substack just to write about Rally Cry's return to CVAL (+ CLOL)
the identity crisis hasn't been solved yet but the initial announcement and subsequent response leaves the door open for improvement
please give it a read, feedback is always appreciated 🙏

this looks very similar VCT Pacific in 2027 but without KR
will be interesting to see if this means other regions will also go open circuit by 2028/2029?
Can they just admit they only did it because of Los Ratones?

Scoop: Riot Games has had discussions with Kalshi and Polymarket over potential esports sponsorship deals, per sources. Full story: bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
my hot take is in some alternate timeline where some if not all viewers paid to watch lolesports, blood money and gambling would have taken over the ecosystem anyway
sports didn't *need* gambling to be as big as it is but who's gonna say no to that much money
good read
my main takeaway was publishers own the ip, esports will always be marketing for the *live-service* game
therefore collegiate should primarily provide "organized play" to students and their classmates so they engage in their local clubs/communities
not trad athletics

@SJCrypticTTV explores arguments behind multiple champions co-existing, regional vs national championships, and the marketing behind it all in this editorial piece.

Shoutout to this guy from Caedrels subreddit on the formatting for contracts in the LCK.
Holy crap that's the potential for a lot of player movement in 2027. Would love to see other leagues displayed this way
saw comments mentioning errors but after double checking, I'm gonna stick to the official listings on Riot's GCD as of right now
