🚨 Another connection in the Burnham/Abu Dhabi story…
Lord David Blunkett donated £2,000 directly towards Andy Burnham’s Makerfield by election campaign.
Blunkett is also a Vice Chair of the United Arab Emirates APPG.. the parliamentary group whose stated purpose is strengthening ties between Britain and the UAE.
That same APPG has received UAE Embassy funded benefits, including a trip to Abu Dhabi earlier this year worth more than £22,000.

We didn't ban your marches. If we had, you wouldn't have been able to march which you did on each occasion.
We imposed conditions, a power that we explain in our post, to require you to change the location of your marches to avoid serious disruption/disorder.

The boat is still in French waters.

We can't ban protests & can only ask the Home Sec to do so if the risk of serious disorder is so high that it can’t be managed by conditions.
That's not the case here.
