I spent about 20 years of my life pretending I was something else. My wife and I, still today, when we travel in the middle of nowhere we tell each other “don’t touch me” before entering a public place. Fuck that. Here’s a picture of our love. Happy Pride month!🏳️‍🌈

My mother passed away on Wednesday. I am completely devastated and overwhelmed. I have been taking care of her and my dad for a few years. My mom passing left me & my dad in a really tough position. The medical and funeral home bills are coming in and, we don't know what to do. There is about $5,000 in bills that we weren't ready for. I am asking for a little help to get us through this. Any contribution, even just sharing this helps right now. Thank you to everyone who's reached out 🙏 I can't function right now, but I do see you and it means allot. crypto was truly free when it was mostly run by people who are seeking true freedom but most people are not truly free and need the authority of a state to tell them what to do, how to think, and expect the state to fix their problems so as normies entered crypto, also the driving forces of this romantic concept that founded us changed and spread also to people who once supported decentralization and self-sovereignty the market is no longer guided by the seek of true freedom but by the need of direction from authority that’s when most of investors started seeking approval from governments and celebrating centralization entering the industry they needed so bad for authority to tell them when the market was going to move and in what direction that they are now fully dependent on it it’s honestly adorable to watch glad i started consistently going all-in in crypto many years ago because those who are positioned for the first time in this cycle don’t stand a chance to achieve what we achieved with just a dream of freedom the manipulation is too strong crypto will still outperform most asset classes but it’s now their game and their game is to control you and entrap you under their authority, we’ve seen it with real estate, the stock market, the American dream you will be living under their rules and incentives packaged and labeled as freedom for you to think that you are the one actively directing your life if you’re successful to make it you will become an indoctrinate walking advertisement of their mastery, if not you will lose forever any illusion of freedom long live decentralization

I’m distressed and disappointed by the numerous accusations concerning Time To Be Happy Gallery. It’s painful to reckon with the possibility that my participation as an artist, curator, and residency mentor over the years lent credibility to an environment where women felt unsafe, but my own discomfort is secondary to what these women have experienced. I deeply respect their bravery in sharing their stories, knowing the risks that come with speaking up. They deserve to be heard, taken seriously, and supported.

People keep saying Trump term II is the most corrupt administration ever, so I built a model to find out if it was true. I took the UN's definition of corruption, turned it into eight criteria and 100 points, and scored the leaders history remembers for looting their countries: Marcos, Suharto, Mobutu, Abacha, Obiang, Putin. Then I put every president since Eisenhower on the same scale, both parties, with every exoneration counted right alongside the convictions. Nixon scored 41 and no other American President scored over a 25. Trump's second term scored a 91, which ties him with Suharto and Mobutu and puts him above Marcos and Abacha. So he is not only the most corrupt president in American history. At this pace he finishes his term level with the most corrupt rulers of the last hundred years. PSA: don't come in my comments arguing about the results if you haven't read the full article, because ignorance is a choice. Full article is up now on my Substack (link in bio) and it's free.

Only the dumbest and most ignorant motherfuckers on FinX don't understand why the Clarity Act failed. The main public fight was ethics language about elected officials' crypto holdings, driven by the Trump crime family crypto businesses. The family made billions from those ventures while many outside buyers were financially destroyed. Trump's disclosure showed more than $1.4 billion in 2025 crypto-related income; Reuters put the family's take from the main projects around $2.3 billion, with investor losses in the same range. That is why Democrats treated ethics as a deal-breaker. Democrats said the bill still did not go far enough to stop the president and other officials from profiting from token issuance and related ventures. Republicans added last-minute ethics text: divestiture or a qualified blind trust for covered officials and spouses, state AG enforcement, and no sunset. Banks were also against the bill over stablecoin yield and rewards they said would pull deposits from traditional lending. DeFi rules and the midterm calendar mattered too. The bill needed 60 votes and got 49. A few Republicans voted no as well. Let's not fool ourselves: the Trump crime family's crypto windfall was still the center of the ethics fight. A market-structure bill to regulate crypto and the digital asset sector is going to pass eventually, and it should. But as long as Trump and his crime family are enriching themselves by plundering

I actually think Trump only adopted a pro crypto stance because the dems were so antagonistic of it. Then realized that there was an opportunity for self-dealing (his favorite business model). Something a lot of ppl probably forgot is that in the final month of the first Trump presidency, his treasury secretary Mnuchin almost pushed through a last minute choke-point-esque law that aimed to KYC wallets and impose the traveller rule on p2p transfers. Yeah, that almost happened in December 2020. In fact, every previous crypto bull market occurred in the face of intense political and legal hostility. Crypto was born out of the trenches of the 90s cypherpunk movement, the cryptography mailing list, silk road, wiki-leaks, and eventually ICOs and DeFi summer. The real trenches, not this Memes ‘R’ Us bullshit that they be calling the trenches today. Crypto grew to its peak in 2021 and became mass adopted without any political favoritism whatsoever. Political interference in crypto is a critical bug. It was never a feature. Make crypto cypherpunk again.
I have a hot take about Clarity that I'm surprised I'm not seeing on the timeline. In the last election, the industry was left with two very bad choices. The Dems were politicizing all things crypto at the behest of Warren/Gensler and unfairly targeting them for god knows what reason -- a political power play? Being paid by China to ensure the US is no longer at the frontier of tech and finance? Only God knows. In comes Trump, promising to be The Crypto President, promising the crypto community that if they vote for him, he will get rid of Gensler, create a bitcoin stockpile, protect self-custody, etc. But come on, how many people didn't know, based on his track record, that this would be a deal with the devil? And if they didn't know it then, then how many people still didn't know it after he launched a memecoin during the Crypto Ball and became the Max Extractor in Chief? (Also, let's not forget about solana:FUAfBo2jgks6gB4Z4LfZkqSZgzNucisEHqnNebaRxM1P.) The fact is that if the President and his family hadn't done so much crypto self-dealing during this administration, then Clarity would have had much better odds of passing. In fact, I would dare say it likely would have passed. The last time Kristin Smith was on my show, she said at this point, all the details about crypto had been worked out, and the main issues left to negotiate had to do with ethics. Basically, the remaining issues had to do with the president, and not crypto or Clarity itself. So, did the crypto industry shoot itself in the foot by throwing its lot in with Trump? I'm not saying that Kamala would have for sure been the better choice, but I do think it's worth asking this question.

I voted NO to advance the Clarity Act because it fails to rein in the President's rampant corruption, letting him and his family continue amassing billions from unethical crypto ventures. I've long called for real guardrails on cryptocurrency to restore Americans' trust in our political institutions and ensure no federal official can profit from their position of power. I cannot support legislation that falls short of that goal.

They all talk about freedom but I still see them trapped in the same life. Freedom starts from a personal attitude. It’s a project that breaks all societal boundaries and expectations. Freedom isn’t something given by the state. It’s something you claim for yourself. When the state ‘plans’ your life, your own ability to plan diminishes. Every choice you make shapes your existence. No centralized power can truly act in everyone’s best interest. If you don’t define your purpose, someone else will. Most people just simply are too lazy to don’t follow the script they’re given. But the greatest threat to the State is independent, critical thinking. If we genuinely thought for ourselves, we’d realize that relying on societal norms limits us. The true power today lies in focused, independent thinking. Which judging by the TL is a very rare ability. People obey authority because they willingly give up their freedom, allowing themselves to be ruled. It’s easier to trust someone else to manage the chaos. But your life is your responsibility. Embrace the chaos and conquer it, instead of accepting it because it’s disguised as what’s supposed to be. Government is the problem masquerading as the solution. It creates crises, then offers false fixes: • Corruption • Erosion of freedom • Economic inefficiency Manufacturing dependency on a large scale leads to widespread control. Freedom isn’t about self-interest alone. It’s about recognizing that some things matter more than personal gain. Relying on the government for personal benefit erodes true freedom. Then, they are all brainwashed into thinking they are free, while they hate their jobs, think about their kids as a burden, can’t catch up with debt because over leveraged, and victimize themselves telling you “you don’t know what is like” when you offer solutions. I know exactly what is like, that’s why I avoided it and built for myself a life of complete freedom. Crypto and decentralization offer the only efficient path to autonomy, right now. But once again most of you lost track of what principles you need to stick to in order to achieve that freedom. So, you find yourself chasing government approval, crypto adoption, 20% decentralized coins. It’s like you hate to be freed. You want to be caged.

If Republicans were really willing to “do right” by the American people, they should have confronted Trump’s crypto dealings as they were happening. Instead, they largely stayed silent. That silence was a problem, and so was the scale of Trump’s personal financial involvement in crypto. Together, they created serious conflict-of-interest concerns that Republicans failed to adequately address or even acknowledge. Republicans then tried to negotiate legislation meant to advance that same industry without first resolving those concerns. So understand the position that put them in at the negotiating table. Given that context, it was hardly unreasonable for Democrats to insist that conflicts of interest, loopholes, and other exploitable gaps be thoroughly scrutinized before agreeing to move the bill forward. And yes, Democrats spent years taking an aggressively hostile approach toward crypto, but when it came to Trump’s own involvement, Republicans largely stood by while he did many of the very things Democrats had previously pointed to as hypothetical examples of how the industry could be abused. In doing so, they fed the very political opposition to crypto that they had spent years fighting. Now that opposition is back at the negotiating table, and the same checks and balances that once benefited the industry are working in the other direction.

Clarity didn't pass because Republicans refused to amend the bill to meet the following requests from Democrats: 1. Make presidents divest large crypto interests or genuinely separate themselves from them. The purpose was to prevent a president from regulating an industry while personally profiting from it. A version of this was backed by both Democrat Ruben Gallego and Republican Thom Tillis. 2. Let state attorneys general enforce the ethics rules against the president. Democrats did not want enforcement to depend entirely on the president’s own Justice Department. The final Republican proposal gave states some power, but Democrats said it still did not clearly let them take direct action against the president. 3. Don't let the Office of Government Ethics simply waive the restrictions. Democrats objected to language that could allow senior officials to keep crypto-business relationships after receiving an ethics-office exemption. 4. Stop presidents and other senior officials from launching or profiting from new crypto tokens while in office. This was aimed at conflicts like a president simultaneously holding office and benefiting from meme coins or crypto businesses affected by government policy. Republicans ultimately accepted substantial restrictions in this area. Context: Trump’s 2025 financial disclosure reported more than $1.4 billion in income from crypto ventures. The White House says his finances are managed by his children, although Trump remains the beneficiary. So Congress was writing crypto rules while the president had major financial interests in that same industry. In a nutshell, the argument for Dem's demands was straightforward: someone making the rules shouldn't have a large personal financial stake in the industry being regulated, and the rules shouldn't depend on that person's own administration for enforcement. So instead of just pointing fingers at Democrats for not passing the bill, why aren’t we asking why Republicans refused to agree to these terms?

I can't believe I'm quote tweeting Dennis Porter but here we are. This is absolutely true. I was at the 'Crypto Ball,' celebrating the pro-crypto administration when Trump Coin dropped in the middle of it. I was so pissed. While I didn't know that it would ultimately work against the industry in this particular way, it was obvious that nothing good would come of the President launching a shitcoin. People launch coins for one reason and one reason only: to dump on your head. No matter what, legislation will find a way to be argued in a partisan way. I'm not sure if Trump Coin was more machiavellian or nihilistic, but either way, it wasn't good for America.
Hot take: Trump coin, World Liberty, USD1, and Melania coin are why CLARITY failed. An unprecedented $1.3 billion pocketed. More than all past U.S. presidents made during their terms combined.

220 comments, praising Trump and screeching about Dems. 80% of the accounts have no posts, or have never mentioned crypto before. All flowing in sequentially over a 20 minute period, after no large account retweeted, but right after I called out on @laurashin’s post how some large crypto players had lied about the Dems engagement because they were secretly alt-right supporters who had invested a bunch in Trump’s agenda. I see you.
The Clarity Act was destroyed by one thing: -Trump’s greed and corruption. 18 months of bipartisan progress with Dems ready to sign. Dems wanted an ethics clause. GOP wanted it only enforceable by Trump’s appointed AG with subjective authority. That was it. The one remaining issue. And ask yourself: “Should the industry be able to sell to the public under the crypto safe harbor if we can’t agree on a basic corruption clause?” The answer to any honest person is: No.
